I received this item as a gift and honestly, it didn't straighten my hair at ALL. I have difficult wavy to curly hair that is about normal in thickness, but difficult to straighten. This thing just doesn't have enough power to get the job done AT ALL. I thought maybe I shouldn't give my input on this flat iron, but then I thought ya know it's a good view, I'm a hairstylist an my client had asked me if I could find a decent flat iron for her twins of 11yrs old for there birthday, Well, Let me first say one of the girls dropped hers as I expected one would do. It works great. it took the bounce and remained in working order. They are just wild about these irons, I'm sure once they get older, they might want a more exspensive iron.
