  this mascara makes my lashes lush and long. it doesn't smudge like a few of the other mascaras i've used. don't be alarmed when you take off the mascara, there will be tiny tubes or more like strings coming off of your lashes. clean up is quick and short. March 3, 2009, 11:58 am

  BEST mascara EVER....WILL NOT Smudge!!!

  I am in love with this mascara. I have small, deep set eyes and have never, ever been able to wear mascara without it smudging. Every time I would blink, my mascara from my upper lashes would touch the skin under my eye and smudge. I don't care what type of mascara I would use, it ALL eventually smudged. This mascara lengt...hens my lashes (maybe not 80%, but at least 50%). It does not clump. It stays on and doesn't flake off. It does not smudge and leave me looking like I have raccoon eyes. I can cry and rub my eyes (accidentally) and it does not smudge or run. And, the best part is the removal. I've read other reviews that say they have tried to remove this mascara with makeup remover. NO, do not do this. All you need is a cotton ball/pad and warm water. That's it!! It tells you on the package to just use warm water. They are correct. I just take a cotton ball/pad and soak it in warm water...hold it on my eye for a few seconds....then swipe the mascara right off. Even while taking the mascara off it does not smudge. Even if you don't have cotton balls/pads, while in the shower, let the water run over your face for a few seconds...take your finger and gently wipe your lashes. The 'tubes' will wipe right off. If you want longer, natural looking, smudge proof, cry proof, non-flaking, extremely long lasting mascara that is easier to remove than your eyeshadow, then this is the mascara for you. If you are looking for volume, this is not the mascara for you. Your lashes will appear a to have a little more volume, but not 'fat'. Since I have small, deep set eyes, I need length, not volume and I have found my favorite make up product ever. (I never thought I would be so crazy over make up!!!!!) LOVE IT!!!!   Way Too Much Work!

  I bought this based on a friend's recommendation, however, she failed to mention it is a huge time consumer! YES, it will give you super long lashes(mine were touching my eyebrows!)YES, it stays on ALL DAY( probably all week if you left it on). Problem: It took a long time to apply and even longer to remove!! You have to re...ad the directions and it basically tells you to work on one eye at a time...so I did. I applied the white base, which you must do to get the lengthening effect, and that took some time, then you have to go over it with the actual mascara...more time to actually "build" the extension look. Now, for removal, don't even think about touching this stuff with your normal eye make-up remover. I had to soak some cotton pads in warm water and place on each eye. It WILL come off, however, not so much in tubes but in these weird stringy clumps. I don't have that kind of time to mess with all this and while I liked the length of my lashes, it doesn't do too much for volume. I'm over it. March 6, 2009, 10:00 am

  great!

  Love the fact that it doesn't smudge or rub off all (even over night), no more raccoon eyes halfway through the day or night. The only problem I've had is you have to be quick to use the mascara immediately after the white stuff. February 10, 2009, 8:10 am

  Not As Good As I Thought It Would Be

  I was so excited to try this product. I thought that the idea of a mascara giving you "extension-like lashes" was great, until I tried it. It did make my lashes REALLY long but added absolutely no volume to them and made my lashes very brittle. I don't like how it washes off either. November 20, 2008, 3:53 pm

  I love this Mascara!!!

  This is the BEST mascara ever!!! While i do agree with some others opinions that it does take a little loner to put on I find it totally worth it. i have always had a problem with mascara smudging and was resigned to the fact that it must just be me. THEN i bought this and just love it .It dosent budge. it's a little weird ...when you first have to take it off but it comes right off in the shower or when you wash your face ,I just came back from 3 weeks @ the beach and it last ALL DAY long . for the woman who tried it and nothing came out .it could be you got a bad tube because I left mine in the car overnight and it froze and the next day it was usless: ( no more leaving make-up in the car over night!   This mascara is pretty good but not my favorite. What I love about this is it is very easy to remove yet it does not flake or smudge. It just stays put. The thing that made it not my favorite is it makes my lashes stick together a bit, making it look a tad unnatural. This is my go to for everyday purposes but when it comes ...to lengthening for more dramatic looks it does not seem any better than L'oreal's Lash Out mascara. February 23, 2009, 5:18 pm

  My eyelashes broke off!

  I have very long lashes, and love to wear mascara to show them off. I have used this product a few times with no problems, but the last time I used it, I noticed that when the tubes came off with the water, my lower lashes came with them! I am not sure if I used enough of the white conditioner on the lower lashes and if t...hat had any affect. I do know that now I have really short lashes on one eye at the bottom and feel really self conscious! January 15, 2009, 6:32 am

  Good idea, Bad Product

  Reading the packaging of L'Oreal's new DoubleExtend Beauty Tubes Mascara, made me skeptical. Using this mascara will make my lashes appear 80% longer? That's quite the claim! But the premise sounded like it might actually work. You start out with the conditioning base coat from one end of this double ended tube. The ba...se coat builds "tubes" along the tips of each lash, extending their length. Then you switch to the other end of the tube where the mascara is at and apply it over the base coat. I tried this mascara for a week and just could not get the hang of it. The base coat went on easily enough, but the top coat got gunky real fast. I tried different techniques: waiting a few minutes for the base coat to dry, combing my lashed before applying the top coat, applying only one layer of top coat, combing after the top coat, etc. The problem was that more that one swipe of the top coat would gunk up the lashes and they'd start clumping together. As for the lengthening - yeah, my lashes looked a little bit longer, but nowhere near 80% longer. If you have shorter lashes, you may like the little extra length, but this is definitely not lash extensions in a bottle. The packaging does claim that it won't smudge or flake, which it didn't. Despite looking like spider legs, the mascara wore well all day. One cool think is that it then rinses off with just water. The not so cool think is that it turns stringy and sticks to everything as you try to wash it off. I tried makeup remover to see if it would be easier, but it wouldn't really take it off. The best thing I found was a wash cloth with water - although you then can't use the washcloth on the rest of your face or else you'll get black mascara stringies all over. So all in all, not the best. It's a good try, but could certainly stand to be retooled. L'Oreal is definitely on to something, but missed the mark this time. November 3, 2008, 6:01 pm

  I like it, but you have to put it on right

  I really like this mascara. It does not smudge or come off which is absoluetly amazing. The only thing i did not like was that It seemed to be a bit too clumpy- but i realized the way to make it less clumpy is 1) don't put the white side on heavy, put it on very light and 2) put the black on as soon as possible after..i don...'t use it for my bottom lashes either because the brush is too bulky ..but overall i really love this mascara. It comes off very different than most mascaras..it looks like your eyelashes are falling out but its more cuz it comes off in pieces, but it makes it easier to take off. i just rub my eyes in the shower and it comes off. I really reccomend it if you like to look like you have big fat lashes, which i love!! They look almost fake. August 26, 2009, 9:06 am
