Not my style
For some reason I really expected to like this scent, but when I received a sample, I hated it. I thought it was way too heavy on the patchouli/sandalwood type notes and way too light on the florals, especially for a perfume with "orchid" right in the name. It seemed very heavy and just not the kind of scent I like to wear. I gave it to a friend and I think she liked it. Tom Ford Black Orchid got a ton positive feedback from some women but I just found it loud, obnoxious, and awful. I couldn't believe people actually liked this strong, putrid scent.
