I 've had the opposite experience. I use the entire line including their hydrating masque. I have very wavy hair that I typically blow out straight using either Redken's Smooth Down Detangler and a serum. I've used this product 3 times and for my wavy hair was very happy with the results. My understanding is that this is a product used to define your curl, it gives it extra body and left my hair feeling conditioned. Great when I straighten my hair, but not for my curls

This product was recommended by a salon for my tight, often frizzy curls. The product does help to fight some of my frizz and moisturizes but it does provide any curl definition or dramatically improve the feel of my hair. It also makes the curls tighter, while I prefer product that defines the curl and loosens it up some. I would expect more curl definition, frizz reduction and improved texture given the price ($30). Interestingly, when I use this product before I straighten my hair it creates great shine and texture for my straightened look. But because the product does not do what it says it will do, I have to give it a moderate rating.
