    i love this product

    by tsveta21 (24 reviews)
this product does not lather the first few times you use it, but after about 5 washes, a small quantity will produce high lather-which i really like, because i feel like my hair is cleaner after it lathers well. If you have dry scalp and hair this product is great, it leaves your hair and scalpt feeling moisturized without ...the slightest bit of oiliness. I consider it too pricey, and the only reason i tried it is because i won it from Cosmogirl. However, i did like it, and my boyfriend loved the smell of my hair after using this particular shampoo. My hair felt a lot smoother and healthier after 10 uses, i also used the same brand moisturizer along with this-the dry remedy Aveda conditioner. April 11, 2009, 5:56 pm

The shampoo is the best item in the line

Wow - Aveda's Dry Remedy Shampoo blew me away. The scent is overwhelmingly hippie with a capital H, but when it says it 'drenches' your hair with moisture, it really means it! I squirted this into my hand, then proceeded to check the bottle not once, but twice to make sure I had really grabbed the shampoo. It's so thick and... creamy, I wholeheartedly thought it was conditioner. This shampoo is awesome (except for the scent) and really helps to heal dry hair. I was more disappointed in the Dry Remedy Conditioner and the Dry Remedy Moisturizing Treatment Masque. Even though the featured ingredient (Buriti oil) is featured in all three products, the shampoo is really the most moisturizing product in the trio. Strange! June 16, 2009, 12:41 pm

Great scent but left me with flyaways

I LOVE the scent on this shampoo! That was the first thing I noticed in the shower. And the shampoo is super creamy- almost like a body butter type of product. It contains buriti oil, palm conditioners, ylang ylang and pomegranate. You don't need much to get a good lather, so err on the side of too little until you figure o...ut how much you need for your particular hair (especially since this is on the pricey side). My hair was certainly nicely moisturized after use. I still felt the need to use a conditioner, but it was no where near as dry as normal. After air drying my hair had a lot of bounce, but also quite a few bends, kinks, and flyaways. So while I enjoyed the moisturizing properties and scent, I'm not in love with the results of this shampoo. January 7, 2009, 1:05 pm

    A good low lather product

this is a good low lathe shampoo. The low lather lessens concerns about stripping color and it definitely adds moisture instead of removing it. I really liked the results that I got with this, although it is a bit on the expensive side. It also has a scent that I can’t quite place. Anyway, I am not a big fan of the scent,... but it does not seem to stick around when the hair is dry, and it would not keep me from continuing to use the product. December 17, 2008, 8:39 am

    Expensive, But It Works

    by Share (20 reviews)
I was surprised when I first opened this product. Unlike most shampoos I’ve used over the years, this one was thicker and denser than I’m used too. I was also taken back by the scent of this product, it is a floral scent, that brings up images of health food stores and organic flowers. Which is a good thing because many... of the main ingredients of this product are certified organic. When I worked this shampoo into my hair, it didn’t foam up like most shampoos. I did feel like it cleaned my hair well, it didn’t feel weighed down after I rinsed it out. When I was testing this out, I tried just washing my hair with this, without following it up with my conditioner. I wanted to see if this product was as moisturizing as it claimed to be on its own. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that my hair was really soft after using only this, however it was quite frizzy. This is usually normal for me after I wash my hair, it normally doesn’t settle down until the second day after washing it. But it seemed that my hair was frizzier than normal when I used just this product. December 12, 2008, 9:01 pm

    loves it

    by MissWhoeverYouAre (17 reviews)
This shampoo smells AWESOME! There's a floral aroma that goes off in my shower and honestly has me lathering for at least a minute or two longer than I'm supposed to. The scent alone had me smiling in the shower and it did not make my hair feel icky in while lathering. This baby rinsed of like a dream. Not only is the scent... intoxicating but it really works on my dry semi relxaed hair (it's about that time for me to touch up my roots). December 11, 2008, 1:47 pm

    LOVE IT, FABULOUS

    by beauty_fab (16 reviews)
I AM THE MOST DEMANDING WOMAN WHEN IT COMES TO MY HAIR. THIS WEEK I JUST RETURNED TO SEPHORA THE LINE 'ojon" Gal, I never thought I would find a great shampoo. It does lather and lather a lot . You just need to add on very wet hair and massage. Lather so much that I washed my whole body with it. I couldn't belive m...y hair didn't tangle. gal, I used to be 1 hour just to de-tangle the hair. wow, I am impressed and 100% HOOKED. THIS IS MY VERY HONEST OPINION. December 4, 2008, 10:31 pm

    good shampoo...

    by Beauty365 (7 reviews)
Aveda! What high hopes I had for the new Dry Remedy collection! I recently checked out all three components of this line, the Moisturizing Shampoo, the Moisturizing Conditioner and the Moisturizing Treatment Masque and was actually a little let down. My hair is about as dry as it comes and it’s also highly textured (I g...uess that’s what we’re calling it these days). If you still use Andre Walker’s curl pattern classification system , I’d be a 4B – with pretty acute tenderheadedness to boot. That said, I am constantly on the hunt for a super rich, creamy and moisturizing weekly conditioner and the Moisturizing Conditioner component of this trio didn’t quite cut it. It was a little watery and I didn’t feel like I was using a super moisturizing product. If your hair is similar to mine, you can definitely skip this part. On a brighter note, the shampoo was fab! You can’t really go wrong with a shampoo. It’s creamy, it foams and it’s moisturizing. No complaints! The Moisturizing Treatment Masque was not bad. I found that this intensive treatment provided my hair with a better fit for a weekly conditioner than the Moisturizing Conditioner. All three products in this line are scented with Aveda’s Own Pure-Fume ™, a blend of certified organic palmarosa, ylang ylang and rose geranium. They also feature Aveda’s patent pending Deep Moisture Complex, a conditioning blend that features the exotic buriti oil . Have any of you guys had a chance to try this line out?
