Because my skin is extremely oily, my mineral powder is not always enough. This translucent powder absorbs the oil and catches the dirt that would have been on my face; if I was not protected by this product. It last all day, so there is no need to keep reapplying. I haven't been sold on the mineral powders, and have tried a few (Philosophy, Physician's Formula, etc.). However, the Mary Kay mineral powder is a keeper. It provides a nice, light sheer coverage, and keeps the shinies at bay. I have oily skin, and this powder provides a nice matte finish over my foundation.
