My never ending quest to test shampoos and conditioners continues with Davines Alchemic System Shampoo and Conditioner for Natural and Coloured Hair. I have the Chocolate variety which is made for dark brown to black hair (my hair is currently medium brunette). There are varities for light brown, red, copper, blonde, and silver hair- so there’s something for everyone. I love the science and research behind this brand and it shows in the quality. Unlike most lines created for color specific hair, this one actually works. It keeps my color fresh and vibrant and the conditioner really leaves my hair soft. I experienced no build-up and the scent is different, but in a good way- it’s slightly woodsy. My only complaint is the glass packaging. Great for Maintaining and Brightening Color

I used to dye my hair a rather bright shade of reddish pink and this conditioner would bring it back to its just dyed luster in one wash. It also works as a dye of sorts on highlighted hair. It additionally leaves hair silky and shiny. I used this product when my waist length hair was starting to fade and not as a daily conditioner. The amount of product in a jar lasts a long time, especially since the color stays bright for quite a while (about a week) after using the conditioner.
