    I got this because I had a coupon for a free NYC product. All I have to say is WOW. For two bucks this has to be some of the best mascara out there, or else the industry's best kept secret. It's not waterproof, but it doesn't budge until I take it off with makeup remover. No flakes, no clumps, no smudges, no smell, and ...no under eye circles even after wearing for an entire day in the humid heat here in the southeast. I have this in the lengthening as well, and it is just as great as this one. Great to keep in your purse for touch ups or more oomph. August 27, 2009, 9:38 pm

    This was the best emergency purchase I've ever bought and I can't believe it was the cheapest mascara I've ever tried! It wasn't a perfect formula and did flake at the end of the day, but the brush reached every lash without clumping. March 12, 2008, 5:32 pm

    Cheap. but Good!

    Now, this I have had many of! You can buy NYC New York Color Thickening Mascara at Wal*mart, Kmart, Target, etc. I have bought a total of 5 of this probably in my life since I started wearing mascara and even tho it is cheap (only $1.99) it works wonders! It covers all your lashes and doesnt clot up and make clumps at all. ...Very wonderful product and good for those who have a tight budget. March 11, 2008, 10:55 am

    Great for the price

    If you are looking for an inexpensive mascara that will do the work, this is the mascara for you. Works just as good as other brands, if not better. I always use this mascara and have used it for years May 26, 2008, 1:33 pm

    Great everyday mascara

    I just got this mascara for the first time (after seeing the good reviews here), and I'm really pleased with it. It didn't have the amazing thickening powers I was hoping for, but it gave great definition and didn't clump. For the price, this is an awesome product. May 28, 2009, 4:45 pm

    Great Thing to keep in your purse!

    I've used this mascara many times! I luv it, it never clumps and seems to help 'thicken' the lashes. It's a good thing to keep in your purse for those touch ups. August 7, 2008, 8:44 pm

    especially for the price this is a great mascara. For me, because my eyes are somewhat sensitive and get dry easily.. it irritated my eyes more so than other mascaras, but I still like it. August 5, 2008, 1:49 pm

    The price is SO affordable, and you don't lose any quality for the cost! The brush is not the best, but the coverage is great and very layer friendly. I would highly recommend this to anyone as a cheap fallback to your favorite mascara, something to keep in the purse for a 'just in case' moment. July 29, 2008, 2:41 pm
