  Delicious Shiny Sandpaper

  For the most part this makes for a great lip gloss - pretty absolutely natural colors, sweet shine, wonderful orange citrusy flavor...BUT the texture is what drops this lip gloss down to the bottom of my list. I don't know if it's the silica or what but the gloss is grainy and feels like little buts of sand are scraping you...r lip. April 22, 2008, 8:13 am

  I have Nectar Nude and this gloss IS very shiny. A bit on the tacky side but not bad at all. Definitely less stickier than my NARS lip gloss in Babe. The shine as well as color doesn't last very long. About 30 minutes on my lips w/out eating nor drinking anything but still leaves the lips feeling soft and smooth. The o...nly thing I don't like about this lip gloss is the container, which makes application imprecise. I have to spread the product around with either my fingers or a lip brush to get an even coat.   maybe I'm just not used to natural?

  I really wanted to like this because it's natural, but it just seemed to evaporate and not stay on my lips or do much to hydrate them. I thought it seemed a bit thin, not like a balm at all. It's not sticky at all; it's smoother and the shine does not stay on for long. Maybe I'm just not used to natural lipglosses that don'...t have polybutene or whatever! October 10, 2008, 9:40 pm

  A nice natural gloss

  Lovely color and texture, not thick and plastic-y like the synthetic laden glosses many are accustomed to. Since we end up ingesting much of the lip gloss we apply, it is a good idea to use one with natural ingredients. May 16, 2008, 9:27 pm

  Super Natural Shine

  Like others have noted, it doesn't see to have much staying power. This was an impulse purchase in line at my natural grocers. I never liked the Burt's Bees lip shimmer much so I was anxious to see how this one did. I love the color, Sweet Pink and the feel is great, plus it doesn't have the tingly feel of the lip shimme...r line. But, it has no lasting power. I can put it on before I go to the park to walk my dogs and I need a reapplication an hour later. That isn't much. I love the look and feel of it but just wish it lasted. May 29, 2009, 12:01 am

  I didn't have any problem with texture with my tube of gloss. It was super smooth, tasty and shiny. Slightly sticky, but not bad, the biggest problem I have is the price and that isn't even that bad. A great gloss! May 27, 2009, 1:46 pm

  Yummy!

  I read the other reviews and am not sure why some folks are having problems with a gritty feel-I haven't had that problem at all. This stuff is nice-a delicious tangerine flavor and scent, but what I love most is the super glossy finish with the light feel. I usually use a lip balm before applying any gloss,which gives it ...staying power, but even on it's own, this has pretty good staying power, considering the light texture. The colors are very sheer and natural, so if you're expecting a big shock of color, you might be disappointed. They do work extremely well over darker lipsticks and make lipstick last longer.   The Pucker Upper

  This is my favorite item to carry for my lips. I love the glossy look without the sticky mess. I'd tried other glosses and always ended up feeling like I was putting a glob on honey on my lips, and therefore attracted all kinds of flying debris into them! Lint, fuzz, dirt, hair...could not walk against the wind or make a...ny sudden turns! GROSS! Burt's Bees gloss does not have that messy effect. Even though it feels nice and shiny, it somehow does not pick up every little thing that flies towards it. :) April 17, 2009, 6:31 am

  Love it!
