This is an amazing hair product! It left my blonde hair brighter, bouncier and healthy! Love it. This is the first Lush product I recommend to friends. It is worth the money for sure!

brightens highlights

I got this as a sample and will definitely be purchasing the full size! I am a brunette with blonde highlights. I found this noticeably brightened my highlights and made my hair very shiny. I only left this in for a few minutes, and I was surprised at the results-I can only imagine it will be more dramatic the longer it's left in (I was told to leave it in for 20 minutes).

Marilyn Brings Out the Blonde

I am a natural blonde and I also highlight my hair to be just a bit more blonde. Sometimes blonde hair can just get drab and blah, so I tried this. I love it!! It makes my hair feel really really nice AND it does brighten my hair. It lasts probably only about a week, unless you wash your hair every single day. If you used half the container, you'd be really blonde! Plus, it's rather expensive to buy a new container of this monthly.

Boo!

This contains SLS, which is a detergent. While this might seem to conditioner your hair repeated use of SLS can strip color and the moisture from your hair and scalp.

Really works!!

My hair gets very drab in the winter. It takes on a reddish blonde color. Marilyn brings out the blonde and reduces the red, makes my hair shiny and lighter in color. I also love the scent.

This stuff is great! Been using it since 2005. I have fine blonde hair, do lighten it so it gets to looking drab and everything else I've used doesn't make my hair feal and look as good as marilyn does So won't use anything else. After one use you can see and feal the differance.Since it all natural I put it on leave it on overnight, wash out next morning.

As a lightening treatment, 8 stars; as a conditioning treatment, 10!

My hair needed a serious pick-me-up during this never-ending Montreal winter. My naturally dark blonde hair was looking drab and sad. I thought about John Frieda's Sheer Blonde Glaze, but I don't like the smell or how chemically it is. I came across this Lush product and decided to try it after reading rave reviews on Lush's site. I sat with it for an hour under plastic wrap and then use...read mored a blow dryer, as per some of the reviewers' recommendations. The lightening effect isn't quite as dramatic as I'd hoped, although for something that's natural and not touted as a highlighting treatment per se, it works really well. My natural highlights are a lot more pronounced and overall I do think my hair is a bit lighter. It is certainly more vibrant and shiny, which makes for a nice overall effect. Furthermore, as compared to the Sheer Blonde Glaze, which says it takes repeated use to see results, Marilyn had an impact after only one use. As a conditioning treatment, it is amazing. My hair is like silk, no joke! My hair is very fine, and this doesn't weigh it down at all (which is a common problem for me). Some people don't like the chamomile-lemony scent, which does last for a while, but I think it's lovely. It is very natural, bright and feminine. It certainly smells better than the SB Glaze! Overall, Marilyn is a really nice awakening for lackluster hair. I'll definitely use it again! (sorry for the long review, but I figured since I was the first I'd be comprehensive :)
