Love love love

My hair has been colored for the last 20 odd years, and I'm well aware that color-treated hair requires a bit extra care and coddling to be as healthy as possible. No color washout even though the various colors in my hair were semi-permanent. I decided on a whim to skip conditioner so I could see how dry my hair would be after the bleaching and coloring process. I was utterly shocked at how soft and manageable my hair was when it dried! With my regular shampoos (everything from Aveda to Garnier to Aussie to Pantene to Kiehl's and way too many others) I have NEVER been able to skip conditioner before. Even with those cleansing conditioners my hair would be too dry and I would need some sort of leave-in conditioner or end up with crackly, frizzy hair and tons of tangles. I thought it might just be the Olaplex she used during the coloring process, so I went conditioner free again for a whole week a couple weeks later. Nope - still zero tangles or frizz. Tried it again after a cold snap when my hair usually gets enough static to power NYC, and it was still amazingly soft and tangle/frizz free with just the Lush Trichnomania shampoo. I've been using this Lush shampoo bar alternately with their Copperhead bar, and my stylist was blown away by how healthy my hair was and that even four months later my semi-permanent colors were still vibrant and true. She asked me where I had a touch-up or re-coloring done, and I told her that no one had touched my hair since she did everything at the end of September 2016. The only way she could tell I wasn't fibbing to her was by the three inches of root growth showing in my hair. Unless something more amazing comes along, I'm hooked on this stuff. No color stripping or fading, saves me money on conditioner, the bars/chunks last for about 60 hair washes, they smell great, and my hair is left without any buildup from conditioner or leave-in conditioners. I couldn't be happier with my. hair right now. TL:DR - Lush shampoo bars are the shiznit even for hair that's been bleached and colored and usually requires a ton of TLC.

Not moisturizing at all, but at least it smells great.

Wow this smells wonderful, like coconut. I wish it lasted longer, only a little bit more than a month until I got these tiny shards that were useless. Keep yours out of the shower to prevent it from premature melting and only a few swipes are needed to do the job. It didn't make my hair soft or anything...just tangley and frizzy. It washed it though, and is very travel friendly. I wish it was more conditioning...

nice moisture level even for oily scalp

I go back and forth during the week between this and the squeaky green shampoo bar. I love the Trichomania because it moisturizes my oily scalp/dry hair just the right amount. It cleans and leaves my hair nice and shiny without making my scalp an oily flat mess. and smells delish!

Yum! Smells like Coconut!

I'd never heard of a bar of shampoo and i'll admit I was fairly sceptical. I did not see how you could get a lot of lather but upon reading reviews for it I decided to give it a go and bought the Trichomania bar. This was mainly because I didn't like the smell of the others and i'm quite a big fan of coconut scented things. The price I paid was just under £5 and for that I got a 100g block. If you buy two bars you are entitled to a free tin but on this occasion I wasn't sure I was going to like the product and settled for the one. To use it, wet you hair first and then stroke the bar against your hair a couple of times. This is more than enough to get a really good lather which I didn't expect at all. Rinse away, condition as usual and afterwards you will be left with squeaky clean hair which is noticeably more shiny, fluffy and because it's packed full of moisturisers it leaves your hair super soft. The bar lasts for ages several times longer than ordinary shampoo and not only that, you are helping the environment as Lush do not use Palm Oil in their products and all the packaging is recyclable. Also, they do not test on animals their products are 100% vegetarian and around 70% are vegan. My only negative is that I have absolutely nowhere to store it and it sits in its wrapping in the bathroom which is quite unslighty. My advice, get a tin!

Great for clarifying and easy to travel with.

Lush makes the best shampoo bars and it does simplify traveling when you don't have to deal with the 1 quart plastic bags. I don't like the sulfates in this product either but it does give my hair a beautiful shine and manageability. Not so crazy about the pina colada scent, but that is a small negative to me.

occasional use smells good

Love this for occasional use to remove product build up, I really hate that it contains sulfate :( or I would use it all the time.

Leaves my hair dry.

This shampoo leaves my hair very dry. I have thin fine hair. It doesn't leave my hair with static, which is nice. Smells awesome.

first lush shampoo i tried

so i got this lush shampoo as a sample and i was kind of skeptical of a bar shampoo but i did like the way it lathered up. it was pretty moisturizing and it almost felt like i didn't have to use a conditioner...almost. i used wayyyy less than i normally would tho so that's a plus. my hair did feel a bit less frizzy and the ends didn't feel as dry.

If you like pina coladas...

At first I had an issue using a shampoo that has a name closely resembling a female vaginal infection, but I found it to be a nice little shampoo bar! Squeaky Clean

Trichomania appealed to me on two different levels: (1) I could carry this solid shampoo in my rollerboard without the hassle of the plastic baggy routine at the airport and (2) packaging-free shampoo appealed to me as totally green.
