I thought this was a silly gimmick and a waste of money. I'm not a huge fan of the LUSh brand anyway, but this just made the soap gooey because it didn't drain in the tin. A lot of soap gets wasted. I don't recommend this.

Unnecessary, but nice to have.

Is this really necessary? No, you can leave your shampoo bar on a ledge in your shower or something. It's it nice looking and handy? Yes. As other reviewers said, don't put wet shampoo bars in here, because they'll get mushy. I didn't have a problem with my cinnamon shampoo bar fitting in the tin when it was new though. Maybe they've changed the sizes of one of the products since then. For four bu...read morecks, it's reasonably priced, if you really want a container specifically for your shampoo bars. I don't regret having bought mine, although we don't always put the shampoo bar back in it.

a waste of money

its a nice tin, but you can keep your shampoos from lush in a regular soap container. dont go out and buy this if u already have a soap container. otherwise, it works just fine. but i'm sure a PLASTIC soap container is better.

Reusable packaging

I received a free one of these when I bought two solid shampoos online. Otherwise, I would have just stuck with Ziploc baggies or Tupperwear. Not as chic, but cheaper. Those with limited bathroom space will be annoyed by the convex shape of the lid, making these difficult to stack. You'll also notice that you have to use your shampoo puck a few times before it fits in the tin. Remember to put only dry pucks in the tin, otherwise they'll turn to mush.

Not the best way to store your Lush Shampoo bars

First of all, this review is for the tin only. I love Lush shampoos, but this tin is a terrible way to store them. As other reviewers mentioned, it is hard to open with wet hands. Lush shampoo bars also need to be able to dry, so if you put your wet bar back into the tin it will be a soggy mess the next time you open it. I had to scoop bits of my shampoo bar out to use it which was very wastef...read moreul. I ended up using this tin to store earrings. I'm glad that I got it for free (the buy 2 shampoo bars get the tin free deal) because I'd be very disappointed if I had paid for this.

totally useless

I guess this is good for when you travel with your solid LUSH products. However, I used it to hold my solid shampoo and solid conditioner in the shower and it just filled up with water and ruined the bars. duh. It doesn't drain the water away.

only because it's free

Lush gives you one tin free when you buy two shampoo bars. So, fine, store a bar in it. But beware that if you use it in the shower, you will have to scrape it out from the tin when you use it next. I've designed this complicated routine for propping the bar up just a bit so that it doesn't fall to the middle of the tin and get stuck there. A typical soap dish that drains would be better.

could be useful

Before taking a shower, you should open the tin first! It's way too hard to open it if you have your hands wet. After using the bar, put it back into the tin with the top off. This allows the bar to dry so that the next time you want to use it, it won't be a soggy mess. The tin works really well (and the life of the bar is extended) , as long as you take a few simple precautions.

great idea...

i bought a second shampoo to get the tin for free (wanted to try two shampoos:) and thought the tin would be awesome. BIG PROBLEM: if henda are wet or get any shampoo from outside of tin on them, i can t get the tin open!the shampoo was actually too heavy for my hair (seanik) so now i leave the tin cover only half on, and just use as bodywash.
