LOVE THIS.
I love LUSH. ***WHY I LOVE THEIR COMPANY: They have great products that are unique and fun, and the company is great as well. The co-creators are quirky and cool, the products are minimally packaged to reduce waste, they are against animal testing (they use human volunteers instead), they use ethically sourced ingredients, they use only vegetarian ingredients, they genuinely are a “green” company (in terms of their energy use, recycling/composting/re-using, using wind and low-impact hydro-electric power), and they get involved in ethical campaigns. It's a company that I LIKE to buy things from and am always excited to find new things to buy there. ***WHY I LOVE THIS PRODUCT: My boyfriend actually picked up and bought this product, because it smells fabulous (usually I'm the one who can't resist things at LUSH). I was super excited to use it as well. I was excited because the LUSH saleslady said that it lasts a really long time, even though it's not very big, a little over two inches in diameter. We've gone through about ½ of a bar in one month, but we use a generous amount. The directions online said to use three swipes along the entire length of your hair, more if needed. I've been using quite a bit more than that since I have a lot of really long hair, so I've probably gone through it more quickly than most people would. It gives you a really great lather, and feels great. If you use a lot, it could be a bit drying (my hair tends to be a bit oily, so I don't mind using a lot, and I always need leave in conditioner to detangle my hair anyway, so I don't find this to be a problem). My hair feels so clean after I use it! The cinnamon scent is delicious, and lingers on your hair even after the shampoo has been rinsed out. Driest scalp in town
Pros: The scent is yummy! Cons: Makes my scalp very dry, tight, and gives me dandruff! Awesome for travel
My sister in law travels to Africa for research and she loves to take these shampoo bars! These can be brought onto planes with no problems, are great for the environment due to the reduced packaging. What's not to like...,
I agree totally with the previous reviews. No bottle, easy to transport especially with air travel restrictions, is great for my hair and smells luscious. Perfect for when you are having hormone issues.
If you are finding that you have hair loss from sudden stress, or after pregnancy...I suggest this shampoo. First off the solid Lush shampoos are perfection! No mess, no huge bottles, no waste. And great for travel, as they are not the liquid that the TSA seems so afraid of these days. This shampoo lathers like a demon with only 3 swipes on damp hair. I will say that you will likely need a conditioner as my hair was a bit straw-like after. But I truly found that my hair was growing back more quickly and was full while it was growing back in. LOVE IT!
After I had my sons' I suffered from 'new mommy hair loss.' Not fun! Since I am a huge fan of Lush's other products, while talking to the sales associate I mentioned that I was dreading the hair loss after I had my youngest, and she suggested this. I swear it worked wonders! Not only was the hair loss significantly less than with my previous children, but my hair felt clean, and looked great. great shampoo, earth friendly too
I'm in love with Lush's shampoo bars. My scalp gets irritated easily and I'm prone to dandruff. This shampoo bar keeps my scalp healthy and makes my hair bouncy and shiny.
