I simply place the nozzle next to my scalp and spray four rows (its kinds like a foam) from front to back on the top of my head. Then I dry upside down till almost dry. When I flip up...WOW! I get all kinds of lift off the scalp. I have long hair that is heavy so its really hard to get lift.
