Best Powder Ever
TWMichello (160 reviews)I cannot believe I have not reviewed these before. I adore them, so I assumed I had reviewed them. I'm NW10 (cool-toned PPP), and they work really well for me. They give a soft radiant look on my skin. One thing I love about these balls is that it is hard to over use them. I tend to over apply loose powders (I prefer loose powders to pressed -- I get a better effect with them). T. LeClerc Loose Powder and Mythic balls are my holy grails. With the Meteorites, I don't over apply (usually -- unless I start playing with them and then overuse them). The older I get, the more important NOT over applying product is IMHO. It's no wonder it's such a classic. It's so pretty to look at, and it gives a nice subtle glow to my skin. I don't wear it often, but I do like to break it out if I'm feeling like my skin is a little dull or whatever. I absolutely adore the scent, and the packaging is just so chic. There is no criticism I could give to this product, it's just awesome. This powder comes in little balls in different colors and you can take out balls to adjust to the shade you need. I'm really pale but have a red undertone I don't like so I took out all of the pink ones and added a few of the other colors in a cute little container and gave that to my mom who needed more pink in her complexion. I use the Ecotools travel kabuki and apply to my entire face. I usually don't use anything else on my skin but on the days I do use a foundation I put the meteorites first, wait about 10 minutes so it can melt into my skin, then apply my makeup over it. I find that this method looks more natural than applying it on top and I think it might be due to it being able to melt into your skin instead of having a barrier between it and your skin. I don't know if people who use liquid foundation would have the same effect applying it that way. At first it's not really noticeable but after about an hour after applying it starts to look like your skin is "glowing" in a good way like ethereal. Be prepared to get a lot of compliments. After years of buying knock-offs of this product (ie the Physician's Forumla palette, Neutrogena Healthy Blend) and loving them, I finally decided to invest in the real deal. Meteorites are very, very different from other multicolor-blend powders I have tried: for one, they provide light, sheer coverage whereas my imposters had a more obvious effect on my complexion - this was suprising to me after my first application. However, the highlighting effect of the Mythic Meteorites is unsurpassed by anything I have tried - it takes a lot of work to overdo the shimmer, so you basically always get a sheer, natural-looking glow. I agree with the previous review which said that Meteorites don't make much difference in indoor light - but once you step into the sun, the effect is pretty incredible. I swirl a stippling brush in the box and then apply the powder to the top of my cheeks & nose. If I want even more glow, I use a dab of MAC cream color base, which looks much more believable after I have used the Meteorites as a first step. It is also useful in contouring and playing up the contrasts between different areas of the face. For now I am only giving four lippies because the glitter in this product can make pores look bigger from up close. Also, while the powder doesn't go on chalky it does seem to be slightly drying. Maybe I am being a little stingy, but if the drugstore products don't dry my skin I don't see why this should. It is true that the packaging is just cardboard, but is the most beautifully decorated cardboard ever and it isn't flimsy. The fragrance doesn't linger after you apply the powder even though it is quite strong. Overall, this is truly a luxurious product and certainly worth a try if you love highlighters and subtle make-up. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Amazing!
tallredamanda (150 reviews)I had been debating for at least a year whether I wanted to invest in this powder or not. I read every review I could find and finally decided it was going to be worth trying, at least. Then I managed to get them at a huge discount last weekend and I was SO EXCITED. I don't understand why they offer two different types of packaging, but I chose the non-cardboard option with the mosaic on the lid that is so beautiful I want to leave it on my bathroom counter 24/7. I chose the 01 shade, as I have pale skin and I wanted this powder to give me a subtle, glowing look. And it does. I use a primer and a pressed powder, then I apply meteorites all over my face. The end result is a beautiful, healthy glow (which, by the way, is great for those days when I may have over-indulged the night before and need to disguise a hangover). I don't sleep well and my health isn't great, but with this powder, I swear you couldn't tell it. The look is VERY subtle, so I think those who want a noticeable highlighter are going to be disappointed. Right now I'm using the meteorites with a brush I already own, but I may eventually try out the brush that is designed to go with them. As much as I love the powder, I can easily see how my softer brush is falling short and a brush with stiffer bristles may make things easier. The scent, as others have mentioned, is very nice as well. I think the container is a bit smaller than I had originally thought it was, but because you don't need much and the powder is tightly condensed into the little balls, I think even with regular use it will last a very long time. Overall, I definitely recommend trying this product. — 1 month, 3 weeks agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 0 of 0 people said helpful

Totally GORGEOUS!
BeautyJunkieAmber (231 reviews)This is a gorgeous beauty product. It smells wonderful, and provides an incandescent glow to the skin. It's a little pricey, but one container seems to last for a long time. It's pretty decorative and high quality! LOVE IT! — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 3 of 3 people said helpful
