This seems to turn curls into waves and waves pretty straight. For best results you will still want to flat iron with a flat iron product. I really love this straightening balm. It makes my hair soft as satin and the hold lasts all day. Gets rid of fizzies and I don't have to spend as much time on my hair, which is a big plus.
