    same ingredients as Kerastase

Owned by the same company. This is the best shampoo you can buy for the price, hands down. My husband also loves it as it soothes his dry scalp. There is no other drugstore shampoo I'll use. September 28, 2008, 7:24 am

This product does what it says it does!!!

And that's a miracle now a days. With creams and potions claiming to turn back the clock 20 years...it's nice to come across something that simply works. This shampoo is really creamy and smells great! I use a Loreal system to color my hair and found this (on sale) at the local drug store and gave it a shot. Glad I did.... Protects my color...making it last longer, and makes my hair shiny and soft (but still stylable and volumizing). Thumbs up on this inexpensive deal! May 8, 2008, 12:06 pm

    bf loves it

    by mandymargret (4 reviews)
i have never used this, but my boyfriends sister does. When he was home for the summer he got hooked on it because of how soft it made his hair and how nice it smelled. He quite ashamedly asked if I would buy it for him at CVS because he was too embarrassed. March 4, 2008, 1:35 pm

    Take a second look

    by dixiedarlyn85 (3 reviews)
I bought this shampoo because it was new,and it came with the conditioner for free. I color my hair very often so I thought it would help me. It may keep color from fading ,but it makes my hair very greasy and greasy looking. The conditioner is so oily that it stays in the bottom of the shower for days, and makes it very sli...ppery. I just caught on to it the other day. I quit using it and now my hair looks healthy and not dirty and dull. December 7, 2007, 7:04 pm

The shampoo smells good and thats the only good thing about it. I suppose its meant for people with really dry hair because it made mine feel so oily and gross. It literally feels like i can't wash it out!!! February 25, 2009, 3:35 pm

A Good Value Shampoo for Color Treated Hair

    by carleenp (22 reviews)
    Total Beauty BloggerTrusted Review
Total Beauty sent me a set of L’Oreal Vive Pro Color Care Shampoo and Color Care Conditioner to try. Retailing at under $5 each, these are good value products for anyone with color treated hair. The shampoo feels moisturizing and is high on lather, so not much is needed. The conditioner pairs well with the shampoo by add...ing additional moisture and providing good detangling. My hair was left soft and smooth, and I saw no stripping of my color when I tested it. Considering its realatively low cost, I give it a big thumbs up! L”Oreal products can be found at most drug and grocery stores, and big box retailers. September 9, 2008, 9:04 am

    So what's different about it?

    by bookmom (17 reviews)
I bought this product recently. I have used L'Oreal Color Vive Pro in the past. I have also used Suave's Color Care Shampoo. L'Oreal has raised the price and changed the color or the container, but I didn't see any difference in the outcome to my hair. So I'll stick with Suave. February 16, 2008, 6:47 am

    Good for Color Treated Hair

    by Gail16 (8 reviews)
I like to change off between shampoo's. It seems my hair reacts nicely to a new new shampoo after I've been using one for a while. Since I wash my hair almost daily, this shampoo has helped keep my coplor longer. December 7, 2007, 7:11 am

Only Color Conserving Shampoo that Works for Me

    by eneriyma (3 reviews)
I've used nearly every brand of color prolonging and preserving shampoo - from the expensive salon brands to the drugstore brands, and this is the only one that actually seems to work. I have the hydrating version and use it with the accompanying conditioner. I also don't wash my hair every day (more like every 2-3 days) an...d use cool water to wash and cold water to rinse. My hair has never held color very well, so I was happy to find a shampoo that helps me keep the color longer. May 21, 2009, 9:07 pm

    Gave my hair split ends!

    by rkulis (1 review)
I only used the color vive shampoo for three days and although I found my color stayed, the ends of my hair split. And that's three days after I had 3 inches cut off my hair! I won't use it any more - split ends are not worth saving my hair color. April 18, 2009, 3:04 pm
