Gives Great Shine But Weighs Down Curls

I got this shampoo and the conditioner as a BzzAgent to try. I was excited at first as my curly hair tends to be dull and also to frizz. I loved the smell immediately and was impressed with my hair after the first use. However, with repeated use, it began to weigh my hair down and to pull out my curl. I save this now for when I blow my hair out straight. I can only give it 6 stars for the fact that it does weight down my hair and also for the price...which is pretty steep even compared to the salon brand I was using.

very impressed

I was a bit skeptical when I was washing my hair with this because it made my hair feel really hard and tangled, but after using the corresponding conditioner, I was in love. You really have to used them all as a set because it seems to work best that way. My hair is clean, smells great, and is super soft and has been in the same condition for the past 3 days. Its airy and free flowing which is amazing to me because I hate for my hair to feel heavy.

Where is the shine?

This shampoo comes out of the bottle very thick and sticky but once you start lathering it into the hair it feels super soft. You can definitely feel a coating over the hair instantly. Smells nice but scent doesn't last. Weighs down my hair and does not notice a difference in shine.

Fekkai has much better products.

i didn't notice a big change in shine and it made my thin hair more oily looking. Props on the smell though. I prefer his color technician stuff, i reccomend it even if you don't dye your hair.

Love the shampoo!

I use heat appliances on my hair on a daily basis (blow dryer, curling iron) and find that this shampoo returns my hair to a much more silky and softer state. A little bit goes a long way and the product lathers well. The scent is pleasing and smells almost pear-like. nice smell

but not a good product on its own. it is very thick/goopy and also seems to strip my hair too much. the conditioner is nice if you receive both as a set and use together (although must apply a lot of it if your hair is long/thick)...just as a shampoo, i am not a big fan. it has been sitting in my bathroom after i used it a few times after having received it as a gift without the corresponding conditioner.

Unsure

I only used the shampoo portion of the Glossing line without the other products. I have very long dark hair and I couldn't really tell if it was making my hair more glossy all by itself, as the editor's review says. The heat protective sprays I use when I flat iron my hair make my hair look glossy enough and some shine sprays I've used - like bioinfusion - leave my hair stiff. So, I have Fekkai...read more's shine spray but I'm doubting it's going to be any better. It would be pricey to use all 3 of Fekkai's products = $66. For some reason, I don't bat an eye at that for makeup, but am more tentative about my hair. Go figure. Long hair makes me lazy. One thing about this product is that it does not keep your hair clean as long as other shampoos. As the editor's review says, it doesn't wash out to that squeaky clean feeling (which Allure actually says is bad... recently. But I don't know what other way I am suppose to know that I've gotten all the many products out of my hair. Allure didn't give a real good answer to that!)
