      Yes, glycolic acid!

A while back, I went nuts researching skin care regiments for acne-prone skin. The most hard-to find item was a low-priced product with glycolic acid... this product was the ONLY one I saw at the store, and I read the labels on everything that looked like it went on your face. It definitely works, too -- not just for bl...ackheads, but for blemishes in general. I used to get a lot of under-the-skin pimples (annoying), but a salicylic acid cleanser, plus this toner and a light moisturizer set things right. And I didn't just grow out of those zits, either, because if I skip using this stuff for just one day, the breakouts begin anew. Anyway, glycolic acid is sweeeeeet, and this astringent has it. Blackhead remover or Skin remover???

      by campfiregirl (1 review)
I tried this product thinking about how great it was going to make my skin look (as ALL Neutrogena products usually do). As soon as this astringent touched my skin it started to make my skin burn and peel. I was left with large open sores all over my forehead and chin. When I tried to contact the company I kept getting a me...ssage that the phone lines were down due to inclement weather. (Ya right - I tried like 10 times!!) I will NEVER use this product again!! • This unique oil-absorbing astringent combines a powerful blackhead-fighting ingredient with Glycolic Acid to clean pores and help keep them free of blackheads. Salicylic Acid goes deep into pores to remove blackhead-causing dirt and oil, while Glycolic Acid sweeps away dead skin cells. For more blackhead-fighting power, use the astringent daily with Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub. Make blackheads a thing of the past. 1% Salicylic Acid 8.5 fl. oz bottle
    • Directions

    • Use one to three times daily. Cleanse skin thoroughly before application. Moisten a cotton ball with the astringent and apply a thin layer to the affected area with a gentle stroking motion. Avoid the delicate eye area. Do not rinse. Because excessive drying of the skin may occur, start with one application then gradually increase to two to three times daily if needed.
