CLINIQUE HIGH DEFINITION LASHES BRUSH THEN COMB MASCARA
Oooooh! This is my absolute favourite mascara.......EVER! I seem to collect mascaras and foundations,as they are my two favourite makeup items. This is my most favourite mascara! Love how thick and lush it makes my lashes look. Goes on quickly and volumises and lengthens effortlessly. And thats saying something for a lash-challenged girl like me. I don't mind that it isn't waterproof,as I prefer non water proof mascara anyway. Please never stop making this Clinique! I would cry :) I received this mascara for Christmas and have been pleasantly surprised by it's performance. The brush has two sides, a flexible comb side and a traditional brush side. I find for individual lash definition and length, I prefer to use the comb side. This mascara does not flake or transfer, but it is NOT waterproof at all. I wore it while I had a cold and, and even a single tear from a sneeze left me with marks under my eyes. The tube itself is rather skinny, so you don't get as much product as others I have tried. But overall I would by it again as it is one of my favorites, especially if there was a waterproof version available. I agree with another reviewer. This coats very well without clumping and looking cheap and fake and spidery (I hate spider lashes!). Building is easy. So good day to night wear with varying coats. have tried dior chanel even drugstore mascaras, clinique seems to be my goto. I have fairly naturally lush lashes , and these dont weigh em down either. I have found defining mascaras much better than volumizing ones, less clump, more professionally done makeup look. I have very long, thick lashes to start with so if I comb my lashes too many times I end up looking borderline ridiculous. I bought this mascara because I liked the idea of being able to comb out after, which I used to just do with a regular mascara brush that I cleaned off from an old tube. If you struggle in the lash area, I bet this would be amazing, for me I am going to reserve it for night time. no clumps even if you tried
The comb style on one end is my favorite side, although it doesn't beat Lash Stylist mascara's comb. It gives you a clean separated look that's natural, not a thick dramatic effect. Amazing results!
I got a sample of this in a Gift with Purchase and will be purchasing the full size. It has a unique wand - one side is a traditional mascara wand and the other side is a comb. It gives me these amazing long lashes - like a china doll! No clumping, just long, thick lush lashes! It lasts all day, but is easy to remove with regular facial cleanser. The only complaint I could make is that it takes a little longer to apply than other mascaras for some reason. But I think it's just a matter of getting used to the different applicator. Massively full lashes
The brush/comb applicator took some getting used to, but I have to say that this is really the only downside to this mascara. I was really happy with how full my lashes looked, and I didn't need to use a primer either. When using this mascara with a primer, friends were asking if I was wearing false eyelashes because it was about time. No one believed it was just this mascara and primer. I can't really say I noticed a real difference in how long my lashes appeared, but I really didn't mind as I suffer more from sparseness. I found for me that the comb side works best if some of the mascara is wiped off each side first. I use the brush side, then the comb, then a swipe or two of the brush side again which removes any clumps and spider leg lashes. It wore really well all day, too. Even after napping in the car after a day out and about I didn't have any circles or flakes and my eyes still looked great. So-so
I just got this yesterday, so I am still in the 'trying out' phase with this mascara. I can tell you my initial reaction though- I'm not crazy about it. Maybe my technique in using the comb side is wrong, but it left me with horrible and clumpy spider lashes. However, the brush side was okay. But just okay, not spectacular. I've used better mascaras. I love Clinique, but I think I'll stick to their face care products for now. -Edited: I had to come back here and edit my review! I've had a few weeks to try this out now and it has really started to grow on me. I don't use the comb side at all, and stick to very thin light coats with the brush side. The formula doesn't allow you to pack on too many coats for volume, so it's best applied with a very light hand. That being said, the results are pretty fabulous once you get used to the formula. Nothing too dramatic, perfect for a daytime wear-to-work look. It isn't the most resistant formula to sweating or smudging. One of my favorite mascaras
I have naturally dark, long, curly lashes and almost any mascara works great on them, but Clinique high definition is one of my favorites. The black matches my lashes so I can put one coat on or many for nighttime and it doesn't look fake. I love the comb on one side of the wand because it separates each of my lashes and makes for a more voluminous look. On the rare occasions when I accidentally stab myself in the eye with the wand, I have never had burning or itching which is rare with most mascaras I've used. It dries very quickly and the smell is not gross like many other mascaras I've used. I go through this mascara very quickly because I wear makeup everyday but the price point is awesome. I love many Clinique products because they are great for sensitive skin and are reliable. I always go back to this
I love this mascara. No matter how many others I try, I always go back to this. Yes, it's like a relationship. There are other mascaras that I like very much, but I'm always comparing them to Clinique's HD mascara, and they simply don't fit the whole bill for me. I love the color, I love he staying power, I love that it doesn't flake or clump. My lashes look long and glossy. Best Mascara Ever!!
I love this mascara. I have tried dozens of mascaras. The brush separates the lashes beautifully. It defines my lashes and emphasizes them perfectly. It doesn't clump like many mascaras.
