A good powder, but not mattifying.
I have really oily skin and was hoping this would work some miracles! Unfortunately, the amount of mattifying that it did was minimal. I do like that they have warm and cool shades of powder (like MAC), and it comes with a sponge. The packaging is a little bulky, but not too bad. My Favorite!
I have very fair skin and slightly unusual coloring for a redhead, so finding a foundation that matches has been difficult for me. This foundation comes in the perfect shade for my skin, so I've been using it for several years. I usually prefer lighter coverage, but with this product I'm able to add a little more if I'm feeling like a little more cover is needed. I feel like there is a decent amount of product in the compact and I love the texture of the applicator that comes with it. I can't say it does much for mattifying (at least not much more than any other powder foundation I've tried), but my skin is very oily and have yet to find ANY product that minimizes my shine for a full day. My biggest complaint about this powder is the plastic compact hinge often breaks before I've quite used up all the powder so I end up having to waste some of it since I don't want to risk getting broken powder bits all over my makeup case. This works decently. It matifies decently, but nothing to rave about. It's coverage is ok, but I think it tends to wear off as the day goes on and I usually don't have time to reapply. Doesn't control oil; Causes breakouts
I had read several positive reviews of this powder foundation, so I was looking forward to trying it. I even watched a couple of You Tube videos reviewing the powder. I went into a Sephora store to purchase this. The salesperson raved about the product (controls oil; great coverage) Initially, the color (R55) looked fantastic. Great Bargain
This is good stuff for $20! I love the variety of shades. I apply over primer with a sponge and it gives full coverage results. Pretty Good
I apply this with a kabuki brush and it gives medium coverage. The color I chose fit me perfectly and it helped my oily skin stay matte for about 5 hours before I needed to touch it up. lives up to its name =)
I just purchased this and WOW! i'm instantly amazed by its immaculate range of shades *cause where i come from its pretty hard to find shades that matches the exact shade of your skin tone*. I'm very happy with the fact that this foundation lives up to its major problem solving name. MATTE! And indeed after my first application of this wonderful light weight, great coverage, foundation i didnt have to reapply even after 6 hours and my skin usually starts oiling up even after 2 hours of the usage of my other foundations. The only problem is that the mirror stays hidden behind so its rather troublesome when you have to apply it during those "no mirrors around you" situation.. but nevertheless this is one good foundation so far that i have tested and loved from its first application. A Mattifying Foundation Indeed!
I have a combination/oily skin type and I have been using this powder foundation for at least a year now. It truly is mattifying!! I put it on in the morning and by noon my face still looks matte. I do still get a hint of shine on my t-zone but it's not a big deal. I don't think shine can be completely rid of. I just use one oil blotting sheet a day to touch up on my t-zone. But other than that, this product is amazing! I love it! And I've gotten quite a few comliments regarding it. It evens out your skin tone and gives you that clean look that looks natural. This powder is great if it is used as a full coverage touch up powder rathan than a foundation. I find that if i apply this with a sponge in the morning it looks very cakey but if you use it with a powder brush to set your foundation, your skin will look flawless for a LONG TIME! IT IS AMAZING for touching up throughout the day, with the sponge OR a powder brush. Your skin will look flawless and not cakey at all. ANother benefit is it mattifies better than most powder foundations out there. Overall, I will keep repurchasing this product. The only problem I have with it is the fact that it only lasts for a month and a half AT THE MOST. matifying....great color selection , too
