I was looking through high-rated shampoos because I have tried dozens for my flat, Asian hair. I had heard that volumizing/thickening shampoos and conditioners coated your hair to make the strands fatter, which actually weighed them down. Since a lot of the volumizing shampoos I had had were not giving me great results (and that my hair didn't feel soft), I decided that I would try a non-volumizing shampoo. The reviews here were great, so I tried it with the conditioner and LOVED IT. My hair was very voluminous when compared to other shampoos I had used with the same root spray, blowdrying techniques, etc. But the softness was what got me.
