Great for shaping

I use this on short hair to give it texture and lift. It also works great on long hair by imparting waves if you scrunch your hair. It smells good and makes your hair shiny.

Really good

I hate humidity and so does my hair! When I straighten it, I finish with this pomade. Excellent product.

LOVE IT!!

I just bought this pomade yesterday when I got my haircut (along with 2 other Aveda products). My hairdresser used it after she was done blow-drying my hair and right before she straightened it with the straight iron. She used a fingernail length amount, which I thought was way too little considering I have probably the THICKEST hair you can imagine, but it actually worked!! She emulsified it i...read moren her hands before she applied it and told me that emulsifying is very important when applying any product in your hair because it gets the ingredients in the product "warmed up and going". My hair looked and felt sooo soft and had a great natural shine to it. I paid $19 for the tub and know that it is going to last me a long time since so little is needed in order to achieve amazing results. I love this and can't believe I haven't tried it sooner!! I have already recommended it to a few friends and family members.

Helps tame my frizz and adds shine

This is a must have for African American women, natural or relaxed hair. I've use it in both situations. All you need is a tiny tiny amount, rub your hands together and apply, then comb/brush it out. I like the subtle smell and it isn't really greasy. But my hair is more dry and can get frizzy so this adds some shine to my hair without making it look greasy and it doesn't weigh it down.

Excellent--and lasts forever!

My hairstylist recommended this product to me. It's fantastic for smoothing frizz, especially at my hairline and part. Just a quick swipe of my fingers across the surface of the product gives me enough to tame frizz--any more and it would be too much. However, this means that this product is going to last a really long time and is definitely worth the cost. I've been using it for months and barely see a dent in the product! This is going to be the only pomade I ever buy in the future.

heads up best for curly hair

I used to use the blue jar- but this is better!! Holds curls throughout entire day with no frizz - I put in with hair still damp (use a drop, a little goes a long way or curls will look greasy) rub between palms and fingers and rake through hair all over. Use a little more on ends to keep split ends away. Reapply if need more when hair is dry especially on ends and flyaways or frizz that appears when dry. Love the fresh light scent too.

A little goes a long way

I love this product and have been using it for years. Although not a perfect anti-freeze product (I live in the south-- no product is totally perfect) this product is for giving a polished and controlled love. A lot goes and long way and it lasts a really long time. Great smell also.

Smells Great!

I've used this for years on my hair to give it an extra dose of shine and to control some fly-aways. It works great and smells even better, sort of soothing smell. I always get compliments on the smell of my hair wherever I go when I use this. Not too oily at all which is also a plus. Just love it!

love the brilliant line, but not this.

a stylist used this on my hair, and i wanted to try it at home. i used it for a few days and ended up taking it back. even a tiny amount made my hair feel too heavy. i have found other products to work better with my curly hair , and better when i straighten my hair.
