May 23, 2008, 10:39 pm I used to leave this product on my bathroom counter untouched. Then one day I was watching a talk show segment and found the multiple uses of this so being curious, I tried those tips out. This works to depuff and help reduce circles underneath the eyes and prevent wrinkles some say, well I've found that my eye area has brightened slightly and while not immensely, this is still worth having around since eye creams can get up as high as a couple hundred bucks depending on what type and label you purchase. Next tip, a lip balm - tested, it absolutely does the job. Another tip, a cracked and dry skin healer some said. Ok, so the method was to apply this liberally all over your feet and put socks on and what do you know, the next morning my feet felt softer. Ok, so basically this wrapped up having three or more products in one jar and without even going further and explaining more uses that I've found on the internet, this product is a different product than everything else because it has the least complex structure of ingredients and is a basic formulation that can be used universally saving you trips to the store and stress of finding and testing out other products. Now, I won't guarantee that it will replace some of the ones that you love but it's just an awesome alternative or suggestion to keep one around just in case you, yourself finds a use for it and I bet you'll discover at least one. Beauty Must Have

Works better than any chapstick, it even looks good as a basic gloss, using your lips natural color, I've even slathered it on my face and slept with it on, (put a towel over your pillow case!!) when my face was particularly dry. When I washed it off in the morning my skin was amaazingly soft and gorgeous. My under eyes are really dry, so when I put concealer there it tends to look even dry, but using a very small amount of this with my concealer makes it work perfectly. For feet, hands, arms, legs, lips, as a makeup remover, this product is so versatile. December 10, 2007, 3:11 pm

    Best Basic Beauty Product

    by alison (6 reviews)
This is my "if you could have one beauty product on a desert island"... Vaseline can be used anywhere on the body as a moisturizer, it removes makeup and can be used as lip gloss. There's no other product that can boast that! Now, if it only wasn't derived from petroleum, it would be a 10. October 11, 2007, 7:27 pm

I use this item to moisturize my lips (which it is SUPERB for), as well as for my hair and body during the rouch winter months when my skin is vulnerable to extreme dryness. Not only that, but it is also great for make up removal! April 20, 2008, 11:24 pm

December 27, 2007, 10:31 am Vaseline is non-irritating and an effective moisutrizer. It is also one of only a few products that I can use when my lips are irritated, cracking and dry because it does not sting. I rely on this product for its moisturizing benefits. However, if I want to slather on a moisturizing product for day use, I prefer something that absorbs well. Even shea butter absorbs a little better. But, overall, I love this for its reliability, gentleness and value. December 27, 2007, 10:31 am

Put on your feet and put socks over them at night for super soft feet. 2.) makeup remover 3.) cuticle cream 4.) Tames unruly ebrows 5.) Lip gloss/moisturizer 6.) Mix with kool aide for fruity favored lip gloss. 7.) Removes makeup stains from clothes. 8.)A little bit on shoes can give them a quick shine. 9.)Helps when applied to rashes, chapped skin, cuts and sunburns. 10.) To remove chewing gum for your hair. 11.) Use when dying hair, to prevent hair dye on your skin. 12.)face moisturizer or whenever such knees and elbows. 13.) Use when applying sunless tanner. Apply to knees, elbows, etc to prevent a build up of sunless tanner to unwanted places. 14.)To remove a ring that's stuck on your finger. 15.) Mix with a chocolate chip in the microwave, let it soldify, and there ya go chocolate flavored lip gloss. 16.) Mix with sea salt and use as body scrub. 17.)Use to soothe skin after shaving. As you can see the list can go on and on. Honestly how many products do you know of that have this many uses? It's def. worth the purchase. July 28, 2008, 7:11 pm

  • Vaseline® Petroleum Jelly is a mixture of mineral oils, paraffin and microcrystalline waxes that, when blended together, create something remarkable - a smooth jelly that has a melting point just above body temperature. The result - it literally melts into skin, flowing into the spaces between cells and the gaps in our lipid barrier. Once there, it re-solidifies, locking itself in place. Vaseline® Petroleum Jelly serves two functions: First it helps keep the outside world out - it protects skin from the effects of weather and exposure. Second, it acts like a sealant to help keep the inside world in - it forms an occlusive barrier to the natural water loss of our skin. So skin that is dry and chapped is protected from drying elements, enabling skin-softening moisture to build up naturally from inside the skin itself.
