While this does fulfill it's duties as a blush brush, it's not exactly so soft either. However, on the positive note this brush isn't so densely packed that it would leave a streak of color that would be hard to blend but delivers more of a sheer film of powder or cream to the cheeks that can easily be blended because of such a light application. I dislike though that even though it is tapered, the bristles are a bit uneven causing some stinging because the bristles are so very coarse especially when a few is sticking out from the bunch. Target, Wal-Mart, and other stores have mass produced brands that are generic that can be compared to this depending on your preference, especially because this is a short brush, it can be easy to be heavy handed with it and if that's the case, I'd choose a longer handle. I love this brush! It is sooo soft and plump. Easy to clean. Applies my blush just exactly as I want each and every time. Does not break up my blush either which is needless waste I have experienced with other brushes.
