Summer yes, year round? No
I bought my first liquid lip shimmer in the summer and it was perfect. In Pink Bikini it was the most gorgeous peachy pink shade to complement how tan I was. However lip shimmer is a bit sugarcoated. More like big glitters. Once the color wears off you're left with it. While the color doesn't stay for long, the glitter certainly does making you look a little strange after eating. Not the worst
It's fairly expensive for your average lip gloss. I find it to be a little on the sticky side too long, though. And the shimmer stays on longer than the color and if you don't really watch the reapplication, you look like you were kissing a 3 year old's daycare art project or something.
