A little drying... Great bargain!
I like this bar a lot. It is a little drying, so you may need a really great moisturizer. For a Clinique product, it is reasonably priced ($13) and lasts forever. I used to use the Oily bar and had the hardest time getting rid of my blackheads and some chin breakouts. Sticky residue...
This left a sticky residue on my face. I'm not a huge fan of bar soap in general, however I gave this a shot since I use the 3 step system and it's cost effectie and doesn't produce as much waste for the environment. I'm torn!
This product has really helped control my acne but as mentioned in other reviews it is VERY VERY DRYING. It leaves that extra tight almost painful dry feeling after use. It also made my face very red from being so dry. The reason why im torn is because it really does a thorough job of cleaning and I've seem a drastic change in my acne. Simply OK
Let me start out by saying I have; very oily in the T-Zone and very dry on my cheeks. I bought this as I was first trying out the 3 step system (which didnt work out for me BTW) and its just...Okay. PROS: Cleans VERY well, Gets all my makeup off Lasts a very long time Can use it all over the body CONS: Leaves skin dry makes it hard to exfoliate skin after: always exfoliate THEN wash with this. Leaves thick filmy feeling to the skin Overall, if you don't mind the thickness and are just searching for a very good cleanser, I recommend this to you. Excellent but a few precautions
I love the whole acne line and have been using it for almost one year. Works amazingly well and very gentle. I love the bar soap mostly for travel. However, it is more drying than the foaming cleanser. So be sure to use the oil-free moisturizer! Not as good as the foam
I bought this because the foam version of this soap was sold out at the three stores I know carry it. This had to do because if I go a day without my Clinique Acne Solutions regimen, it's noticeable. Unfortunately, even though it does okay at keeping the acne away, my skin doesn't get the healthy glow from this like it does with the foam. Perhaps, I'm just not a fan of bar soaps, but this didn't do it for me. I had to get the foam and there's a lot of bar left. A great Soap, Acne or Not
Back acne--it's embarrassing, but lots of adults have it. Clinique has come to the rescue with their new, Acne Solutions Cleansing Bar for Face and Body--and it's a happy surprise! The semi-translucent, white solid bar looks elegant in a self, draining, ice-blue plastic, igloo-style case, but while the soap looks like any ordinary bar,. it really helps keep blemishes at bay. It combines exfoliating and blemish-controlling ingredients with oil-controlling and anti-irritation ingredients. The soap also helps to unclog and minimize pores, calm and soothe irritated skin and reduce the appearance of redness. Even better, using this soap will help prevent the conditions that can lead to breakouts. My first thought was that a product that does all this is probably hard and might dry out my skin, but it's surprisingly gentle, even though it has encapsulated salicylic acid and zinc PCA ( a mineral that helps control the build-up of oil on your skin and helps to reduce shine). The soft, creamy lather will make you feel as though you're using a luxurious spa product, but it will cleanse every part of your body and help to keep acne away. Of course, since it's Clinique it's non-acnegenic, allergy tested and fragrance free. I don't have bad acne, but I do break out sometimes in the Summer. Since using this bar--not a pimple in site, anywhere!
