    Excellent finishing powder

    by SheilaKL (3 reviews)
I have never really been a fan of loose powder or mineral makeup, but i have to say that this product has made me change my mind. I bought this in shade #1 (it comes in #1 and #2 only b/c it is fairly translucent) and it is the softest most finely milled powder i have tried. IT seriously makes my skin feel soft and silky an...d is as light as air in my face. It sets my makeup/concealor all day and does a pretty good job at controlling oil too! It does not emphasize any lines/pores or flakies and makes my skin look and feel very smooth. I have been using for a week and coincidentally my skin has also cleared up considerably from an old breakout. I am not sure if it is due to this powder, but i will take it either way! The ingredients for shade #1 are as follows: aluminum starch, octenylsuccinate, oryza sativa (rice) starch, zinc stearate, silica, pearl powder, avena sative (oat) kernel flour, silver, silybum, marianium (milk thistle) extract, vitis vinifera (grape ) extract, copper gluconnate, zinc glucconate, May contain Mica, bismuth oxychloride, titanium dioxide, iron oxides. I can wear LM Porcelain Ivory so their is no match yet in the LM MMU, but heard from LM that new shades will be launched in February 2008. I will definitely purchase when my shade comes out as this powder has made me change my mind about MMU! My other foundation matches are on my notepad and for reference i have used BE mineral veil, Sue Devitt Triple seeweed Loose powder, Nars Loose Powder, Shisiedo Enriched loose powder, Clinique translucent loose powder and Becca loose powder as well in the past. LM mineral finishing wins hands down. November 29, 2007, 9:39 am

Patches Here. Patches There. Patches Everywhere.

While you attempt to fully close the cover down neatly, this pr oduct puffs itself out into the air and can disperse out of its container so that when you lift the lid, a pile of powder seems to flutter out everywhere. I've tried this over two types of foundations which is a powder and the other, a liquid. Both finishes f...rom this product I felt didn't look so natural and that any dryness seemed to be accentuate as well as settling into any lines. I didn't exactly believe this was the most softest or micromilled powder in the market either so setting makeup with it almost looks done which a translucent powder shouldn't be doing. what a mess

    by kingalbertini (3 reviews)
i love laura mercier products - my make up bag is full of them. this product however i found to be a real disappointment. for a start it is outrageously messy. powder gets EVERYWHERE. so i think the product designers need to have another think. and secondly, despite the fact that i also have the mineral primer, this pr...oduct sits proud of my skin. it gives me great big open pores that aren't even visible without make up.! Still Better Than Mineral Veil

    by HookedOnBeauty (126 reviews)

I like the twist applicator that allows you to choose hoe much comes out instead of other mineral lines where it's just a mess every time. I did find that it finishes the mineral makeup so it looks more like skin, but I'm still not convinced I need to 'set' my mineral foundation. If you're noticing your mineral makeup sett...ling into lines, not wearing or looking unnatural, then give it a try. Otherwise, you might be just fine. July 28, 2008, 11:46 pm

    Amazing!

    by pixiecbs (1 review)
I really love this product- the sifter on tops makes it way less messy then bare esecentuals and it sets beautifully. I use a basic powder brush not the puff and love it. October 2, 2008, 1:52 pm

    mineral powder

    by lagirl13 (4 reviews)
first off please have the right brush to apply this product be for all the bashing ,also there is a device that you turn in the container so that the powder doesn't come out so there wont be a mess ,come on people its powder and powder that is loose is a little messy but this product is great if your skin is conditioned and... not dry ,again its powder and if your skin is dry then you shouldn't be using it ,and if it looks muddy then it's the color choice perhaps its to light over all its a very good mineral powder if you just want a little coverage ,worth the money if you know what your doing September 14, 2008, 2:45 pm

    Muddy Muddy Muddy

    by MagnoliaDiva (10 reviews)
I used this for 2 days and returned it. I ended up having a muddy finish on my face, after an hour. It also looked cakey and covered different on different areas on my face. Maybe I am one of those that can't do mineral powders, but this one was bad. August 10, 2008, 8:05 am

    Lines show up

    by ptcpeach (2 reviews)
Not for the more mature skin. Powder settles into lines and makes you age. Too much powder flys everywhere when you open it also. July 30, 2008, 5:33 am
