MAC Studio Fix
When I am having a great skin day, I use this instead of foundation. It imparts a very natural finish look, it last very well, and I don't have to continually touch it, it seems to really control my oily skin. It looks natural and is light on your skin. The texture is lovely and very silky and I have also found that it is extremely buildable as blendable, and I aplly it with a kabuki brush and smooth it out with a flocked sponge. It doesn't settle in my lines or pores, and the compact is great. I keeps the product seperate from the applicator sponge. When I use it to set my foundation, it give me many more hours of wear with out having to continually touch it up. I love it! — 3 years, 6 months agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 14 of 15 people said helpful

Not for my dry skin
Unfortunately, I hate this. The powder is too thick to look natural, and my dry skin suffers from the chalky texture. Yes, you get a lot of coverage, but it LOOKS like you are wearing a mask. The shade I have matches my skin tone perfectly, but that doesn't make up for the fact that it looks so unnatural. I have very dry skin like I said, and this even after hours and hours of wear lets absolutely no dewiness come through. I'll save this for those girls in 7th grade who think they need a 2 inch cake of makeup on their faces. — 4 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 9 of 14 people said helpful

Lightweight Skin Finish
Hey, it's completely all right if you don't have perfect skin because personally, I don't. Especially on days when I feel so out of my body because I lack sleep resulting from my insomnia and my skin decides to dull, this is a wonder. I've heard rants and raves about MAC foundations and that it highly congests the skin but yet my hyper sensitive skin made a pact with it. I've used this product since I was about fifteen and it hasn't contributed to my skin issues I had with different skincare lines and other cosmetics. It's a smooth powder foundation combination so there isn't a need to multiply the number of steps for this deal. The sponge can be used on the go but it looks so amazingly flawless when used with a large powder or kabuki brush and buffed in circular motion into the skin. Almost seven years since I've started using this and it has stood it's territory in my makeup case. Long lasting? You bet. Although for those who have oily skin, this is recommended because it has silica which absorbed extra oils but seals in moisture simultaneously. Now for a price tag of $25.00, this usually will last me about most of the year ranging anywhere from four to seven months depending on my usage. I usually have more coverage in the summer because my skin tends to be hyperpigmented when it has bathed in the sun too long even with higher sunscreen protection. It's completely buildable in coverage ranging from sheer to full but it shouldn't be reapplied mid day if you tend to shine; a simple blot film or translucent powder will do the job and it should be refreshed. Too much of this foundation will indicate itself by looking caked on but it can be thinned out with MAC's fix spray or their charge waters. While this can be compared to Make Up For Ever's Duo Mat Powder Foundation, MAC's Studio Fix Powder is much more shade reliable in my opinion, it doesn't highly oxidize to the point where it's a completely different shade whereas Make Up For Ever's foundations do so. This can also just set the Studio Fix Fluid to blur any lines and even out the whole look into an airbrush finish that totally looks natural. This has been the only foundation that matched my skin perfectly in shade, delivered a nice coverage, and is velvety to the touch. I can't say enough great compliments about this. — 5 years agoThis review is: Helpful | Not helpful | Inappropriate | 36 of 42 people said helpful
