  One of the best ...

  I used to use the sponge tip cheap eyeshadow brushes that come in covergirl eyeshadow kits but it didn't do justice to the look I wanted. Since I had never bought any type of eye brush before, a MAC makeup artist said that if I do not end up buying any of the other mac eye brushes, this is the must have! It blends like no ...other brush. This multi-use brush can be used to smooth on eyeshadow, or pack it on for that more dramatic look. It is also great for the crease area and brow bone and much more! It is so soft and soO easy to clean. This is a must have for sure =) February 27, 2008, 1:21 pm

  I would cry if MAC stopped making this brush.

  Remember that scene from Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts' character said "Mistake. Big Mistake!"? That's how I would feel if MAC stopped making this brush. It's great for creams, for which it was designed, and even nice with powders. I have three of these for personal use: 1 I use to apply my Painterly Paint ...Pot as a base for most eye looks I do; 1 I use to apply my concealer; 1 I use for dry, powder products. That third one gets less use than the others. I have several of this brush for my professional kit, too, and it is a favorite go-to brush. I love it because it doesn't absorb creamy products, nor does it streak them up. It simply deposits the color exactly where I want it to go. What more can you ask of a brush!? The curved flower tip of the brush is perfect for light applications, but you can press a bit more firmly and get more coverage. As with most MAC brushes, this holds up nicely and doesn't shed hairs all over the place. This is a required brush, in my humble opinion, for anyone who is serious about makeup!   A must have!

  The 217 brush is so versatile -- you can do an all-over wash of color, shade your eyelid crease or use it to blend shadow you've applied. It can be used for powder and cream shadows and I even use it to smooth out my concealer and sometimes to contour the sides of my nose. MAC brushes might seem expensive, but they are ...a great investment - with a little care and frequent washing, these brushes will last 10 years or longer! February 17, 2008, 11:18 am

  The best!!!

  I couldn't live without this brush in my kit! In fact, I have several! It is the most multi-functional brush I have ever found. I use it every single day and whenever I do anyone's makeup. While it's a bit pricey, I have yet to find a brush that even comes close to being as perfect as the MAC 217. I know there are a ton of ...other makeup artists and makeup fans who absolutely love it too! If you get a MAC brush, make this the first one! May 25, 2009, 10:57 pm

  Perfection

  I used to use MAC brushes exclusively. Then I branched out and found other brushes that worked better at half the cost. This brush is hard to replace! If i travel I take this and a small angle brush for eyes. I have had mine for over a year and with regular care I thnk it will last another year or two. Get this brush I have... never been able to find a "dup". May 15, 2009, 11:39 am

  Crease please

  I was at the CCO looking for a MAC crease brush and the saleslady recomended this one. It works pretty well for that and I use it every day. Great quality brush and it was about 1/3 off since I got it at the CCO-yeah! January 28, 2008, 6:38 pm

  You have to own this brush!

  This brush is amazing! It is very easy to control when applying/blending shadow or pigments, blends the color easily, and holds it shape well after a 100 uses. This is my favorite MAC eye brush! December 30, 2007, 9:28 pm

  The perfect brush.

  If I could only use one eyeshadow brush for the rest of my life, it would be this one. It fit perfect into your crease to contour, sweeps a shadow wash easily over the entire lid, and blends like a dream. If you wet it to make your shadows more dramatic, it keeps its shape. And since I'm picky about how my brushes look, I'm... also thrilled that it washes so easily and doesn't stain, even with the white bristles.   My Favorite blending brush....EVER!

  I LOVE this brush!! It was one of the first brushes I bought from MAC and since then I have bought 3 more! Why you ask?? This brush is not only awesome for applying creme or powders to the eyes, it's the best at applying concealer to the under eye area! I use MAC's moisturecover concealer under my eyes with this brush and t...he results are amazing. Not to mention this is a great crease and blending brush! A++ from me! November 10, 2009, 1:16 pm

  I didn't know how much I didn't like my old crease brush until I bought this one. It applies crease colors beautifully, and subtly blends them out, so I don't have to spend a lot of extra time blending with my 224 brush. The only reason I didn't give it a 10 is the price, but I suppose you get what you pay for! :) November 4, 2009, 4:30 pm
