I have never tried the Perfume, but this skin softener is a must have for me. I make sure to buy more before running out because my husband just loves it and it is so cheap. My husband does not like many of the lotions, etc... i use, but this one is so light and has a great scent. I use this every time I get out of the shower. It is also so calming. Smells nothing like perfume
