    This Makes Me Shine...Literally. Yikes.

If you were like me who has tried this, you've probably fell into the trickery that the skincare industry wants you to believe that pore size can be altered. False. It only takes genes and good care for skin in order for it to be ideal, otherwise, there isn't much else we can do about it. But I'll tell you that this is a... cooling toner but hardly does the job of getting rid of the remainder of residue as I've found other toners have done which obviously means more blemishes for me. This just brought a cooling effect which basically comes down to a refresher but not worthy of the name of toners. There are better in the market and there are more effective products compared to this, don't even bother. May 18, 2008, 12:15 am

    my fave toner

    by corizotti (511 reviews)

i bought this toner b/c it contains glycolic acid and sodium pca, both ingredients my skin <3's. it really gets all the residue and dirt my cleanser can leave behind and the cool tingly-ness is perfect in the summer time. its cheap too, under 5$ and you get alot. the pores on my face do look smaller since ive been using ...this, but its more for the final step in cleasing that i buy it. i'd recomend this to anyone looking for a good toner for oily skin with large pores.... feels wonderful

    by sbswoosh (13 reviews)
After applying this product to a clean face, it feels wonderful. It leaves your face with a refreshing cooling feeling that is not normally associated with a cleansing product. Leaves face clean and removes the makeup left from washing alone too. December 6, 2007, 5:50 pm

    Oh god it burns.

But hey, at least my oil is gone. It's kind of refreshing, in a masochistic sort of way. If you have sensitive skin, avoid this product like the plague. July 12, 2008, 5:57 am

I tried this product about a year ago and have been hooked since, it cleans skin nice and tightens pores really good, Worth every penny and I have tried I end products, I compare it to the toner that comes in proactiv but cost s much less April 22, 2008, 8:23 am

    Immune

I searched for a while to find a good toner and this was it. I would use it every night on my face and it really helped to clear up those smaller zits and the larger ones on my back. It doesn't sting at all unless you have an open sore and I felt almost refreshed when I was finished. It does last a long time, but you do hav...e to buy cotton balls or pads to apply it. However, as my skin always seems to do, by the time I was on my second bottle it didn't do much for my break outs any more. November 6, 2009, 10:12 pm

    Can't live without

    by LeslieInaHonda (1 review)
For those who start a new product and use it for a couple of days and leave a bad review - you obviously don't know too much about skin. As as a dermatology student I know that it can take at least (sometimes more) than 6 weeks for your skin to adapt to a new product. Most people have a "regimen" that words for th...em. Switching between products on a frequent basis can cause irritation would could promote acne. Personally, I have extremely oily skin and Clean & Clear has worked best for me. I was my face twice daily - I use Clean and Clear Deep Action Cream Cleaner - I then use flat cotton rounds and remove anything I missed with this C&C Cooling Toner. The Wal-Mart I buy this from quit carrying it and I nearly died. I had to start ordering it online off the C&C website. Afterwards I use a prescription benzyl peroxide treatment that is similiar to C&C Persagel. For anyone with congested skin I would highly recommend this regimen. It has done wonders for my skin. Burns and smells horrible

    by YFB (125 reviews)

Terrible smell, burns and makes my skin feel and look dry and rough. Good for getting off makeup or dirt before bed, but I'd never wear this before going out during the day because it makes my face look like an oil slick after a while. Smells DISGUSTING. Good size for the price but it could be better. I didn't throw it away... or anything, maybe one day it'll magically work... May 12, 2009, 2:57 pm

I am 32. have mildly oily skin, no acne / wrinkles just some brown spots. Live in cold whether ( Chicago). I bought this item so my pores look smaller and I also wanted to use a toner. After using it for 2 days I started to get pimples and hardly break out using anything. The product does give a cool sensation on applicatio...n but I think because of the alcohol content. My pores look the same and the feeling wasn’t good. Its cheap, smells nice but too much alcohol so will not recommend May 10, 2009, 12:50 pm

Too Gentle to Have an Effect

    by mufasa (22 reviews)
I think this product may work for those whose skin is virtually clear with minor pore issues. Otherwise, it has no effect. Too weak. Once in a while it gives a nice cool, tingling feeling, but that was rare. September 20, 2008, 8:54 pm
