Not my cup of tea
A few of my friends and family members recommended this to me and I tried to like it. I really did. Soon after I started applying it, my face started stinging in the areas it was already applied. I dont have sensitive skin and nothing else has ever bothered it. Once I got it on it was horribly cakey. I mean horribly. I looked like I literally had 2 inches of makeup on my face. My sister in law tol...read mored me to use less. I did what I was told and came up with the same, awful, results. I actually used 3/4 of the bottle trying to make it work for me. My fave foundation!
I use this foundation every day. I have rosacea, and this is gentle on my skin. It does not provide all the coverage I need, though; I have to use a concealer under it. its okay

Good stuff
I don't understand some of the other reviews. I loved this product and don't see the problems that are people are complaining about. I think sometimes you think if you spend more money that it must be better. Good coverage, good price
I bought this at CVS when it was B1G1 free, so I figured it was worth a shot. I have had bad history with Bare escentuals, namely the color made me look washed out and it was expensive. I have to say, that not only is the coverage great, it's natural and I can't believe how flawless it makes my skin. So not only do you get the makeup, but you get the tool as well (and it comes perfectly protected in the cap) so it's great for travel. Got a bad comment ;-( To cakey
I purchased this years ago because i decided i wanted to try the new "mineral" wave...lets just say i have problem skin and mineral is not my thing. The coverage was decent and the color was alright but the product application was WAY to cakey for my liking. needs better development
the packaging concept is great but the foundation itself is awful. i grabbed this from the drugstore for $10 b/c it looked promising but after spending too much time trying to determine my shade, i ended up with a "matching" white-grey color that was impossible to apply evenly with the too-stiff brush. My Favorite Under Eye and Blemish Concealer
I think this concealer does a wonderful job. I use it for my very dark undereye circles, blemishes and redness. It is very light and doesn't settle into the creases and you only need to use a little (otherwise it will get cakey and not look natural). It stays all day and night (better than the liquid concealers) and it doesn't irritate my blemishes. In fact it helps them heal quicker. Instead I tap a little of the concealer into a compact and use my own concealer brush which I highly recommend people using Mineral Makeups buying a high quality brush set. Better than Expensive Brands
This is my #1 Mineral Makeup. I've tried several others (Bare Minerals, PUR, Covergirl just to name a few). A friend recommended I try it after I was continually disapointed in most Mineral Makeups (PUR was the best out of all the others I have tried). I was hesitant to try a Drugstore brand because in the past I always take it back to the drugstore. However, this foundation gives me a good medium...read more coverage that I couldn't get thru the others, it's a buildable coverage and it doesn't look thick or heavy as you continue to build. It also has a higher SPF than others on the market. The shades are very complimentary, I use the 2nd to the lightest shade and it's a perfect pale shade. Matches my neck but still gives me some color so I don't look dead. With others I find it hard to find a good shade even when they offer several. The packaging lacks. I prefer to tap a little of the powder out into a compact and then swirl, tap and buff. The enclosed brush is actually pretty decent, but a high quality Buki brush is even better. The Concealer in the same name is fantastic. But, the brush they include with that one really sucks so it's just one more reason to go out and buy a high quality brush set. For those of you who experience an oily face, powers will actually make it worse so if you want to use a mineral powder, I highly suggest a Primer like Smashbox's Photo Finish...this will banish your oilys. This foudnation also helps me with my acne prone complexion; that's the reason I started using Mineral Makeup. I have very few breakouts and when I do they clear up quickly because the makeup doesn't continually irritate the blemishes. I also dig that this makeup is extremely affordable. I word to the wise, if you want to find your ideal shade, go to a Rite Aid and buy a few shades.
