Eva Mendes Rocks Wintery Eye Makeup at Movie Premiere

The actress, pictured here at a previous event with more brown tones in her eye makeup, arrived with iridescent shadow that matched the icy winter weather.

Mendes' makeup artist took the signature smoky eye to a new level and applied sparkly navy blue shadow on her lids, blending the color in with her matching eyeliner. Her dark shadow was also swept past the outer corners of her eyes, and was blended into a silver shadow that extended up to her brow line. The silver color was also used on the inner rims of her eyes, making them pop.

This look is easy to achieve at home. Start by applying the base eyeliner heavily on the bottom lids. Using a makeup brush, blend a dark navy eyeshadow into the eyeliner and spread it across your lids, being sure to sweep it past the corners of the eye for a dramatic effect.

Using the silver shade as a highlight, apply this at the inner corners of your eye and spread it under your eyes. Dust the navy eyeshadow across the tops of the lids and use a makeup brush to blend the silver. Brush on a few coats of mascara and you're ready for a festive holiday party.
