Heidi Montag Leaves Spencer Pratt -- Will She Return To Being a Natural Beauty?

Shocking as it may be, Heidi Montag and her husband of 1 year, Spencer Pratt, have separated. And now, with her controlling spouse out of the picture, curious fans wonder whether the renovated reality star will revert to the natural beauty they used to root for, or, if she will remain a plastic surgery addict.

Following her rep's confirmation of the split, the newly buxom blonde promptly (and eternal publicity hound) sat down and told "People" magazine exclusively that, "There are so many lies out there about me and I just needed space – even away from my husband. I had to get away from the lies my family and supposed friends are saying about me, it's time to concentrate on myself."

The break is reportedly due to the fact that Montag was unable to control all the bad press she receives. However, some close to the couple say the split was due to the fact that Pratt isolated her from the outside world.

Whatever the reason, as recent episodes of "The Hills" have illustrated, Pratt's behavior is borderline lunatic and a life sized Barbie doll has replaced the gorgeous natural blonde Montag once was. Sources close to the couple say she only underwent all this surgery to appeal to Hollywood and to morph into Pratt's ideal woman and no one's surprised that his hot temper (and beyond erratic behavior) finally alienated him from the only person on his side.

Montag has moved out of the couple's Pacific Palisades, CA home and has vowed to spend the summer clearing her head, filming a new reality show and writing a movie script.

Let's hope that by "clearing her head" Montag means she'll take some time to reflect on her obsessions with plastic surgery and fame.
