  • Would You Get Botox Before Your Big Day? Or Are You More of a Natural Beauty Bride?

  • Bridal season is upon us. So far I've been invited to three weddings -- and counting -- and I'm in one (always a bridesmaid …). Is it just me, or have brides been getting prettier and prettier (well, except for this chick who had a wedding day hair nightmare -- read about it here)?

  • It's a little suspect to me, so I did some digging and found that pre-wedding cosmetic procedures from brow lifts to Botox to lip injections are on the rise (here are the Cliffs Notes to minimally invasive cosmetic procedures). A recent study by the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons reveals that minor enhancements are growing more than 25 percent each year with brides-to-be. Wow. Dr. Val Lambros, a cosmetic surgeon in Newport Beach, Calif., has personally seen this trend and advises this: "If a bride-to-be is looking for minor Botox or Juvederm/Restylane fillers to fix fine lines or fill in hollows, I recommend getting the procedure done at least a month before the event, for the most settled and natural look." (Find out which filler is right for you.)

  • Depending on your budget, these minor procedures are fairly affordable, allowing brides to pamper themselves as they would with a good ol' pre-wedding day at the spa. (Take this quiz to find out if you really need fillers, peels, or lasers.) In fact, there's now a trend of “Bridal Botox Parties” (well, that takes bachelorette parties to a whole other echelon, and gives them a leg up on bachelor parties …) they include things like "facial rejuvenation" and lip plumping for the bride, mother of the bride and the bridesmaids -- that sounds a bit better than a fugly dress you'll never wear again, no? Would you get a surgical boost before your wedding day?
