I'm not very good with reading labels. I've never been one of those gals who can rattle off the calorie count of my favorite snack or even remember what the active ingredients are in my moisturizer. But after reading this article, I'm definitely going to take a second look at the labels of all my products.
There are some pretty sketchy ingredients in beauty products, things that are known to cause cancer, disrupt your hormones, all kinds of crazy stuff. See which ingredients you shouldn't touch with a ten-foot pole, and which are actually, you know, good for you.
You can rest easy if you use any of these earth-friendly products.
Or if you want to be really, really safe, try these at-home recipes.
Need to buy a whole new arsenal of products after reading this? Winning this $5,000 Sephora shopping spree would sure help.
