Hair care
Q&A: Everything You Want to Know About Jennifer Aniston's HairPlus, her favorite stay-full breakfast recipe, the craziest beauty trick she ever tried and what she does to look (and feel) prettier in 20 minutes |
What's your favorite hair product and why? "I have a couple. Can I have more than one? The one that I really think is a game changer is the Living Proof Restore mask. I use that every Sunday. So many friends of mine who have trouble with dry or over-colored hair use it, and It's been a game changer for them. I'll use the Restore shampoo if I go through a period where I've been working on a movie and I've had a lot of wear and tear. If it's humid, I use No Frizz. It's so easy -- there's not a whole lot of to-do to do -- and it actually does what it says it does."
How do you take care of your hair on a daily basis?
"I mix it up a lot, but I also don't do a lot. I leave it alone as much as possible. I don't wash it every day, and I can go two days even. [Living Proof] discovered a molecule that replaced silicone in all the products, and silicone seemed to be the reason products work really well at first, but then make your hair dirty. And silicone turns into a plastic coating around your hair and your hair snaps. But these products let me go longer without washing, and my hair doesn't snap."

To prepare for my interview with Jennifer Aniston, I watched "Marley & Me." (It happened to be on television, and I got sucked in.)
"Aww, that was one of my favorite movies to make," Aniston said when I told her how I spent my Saturday night. "There were 22 different dogs, and at least 3 people went home with puppies."
But finding a segue from puppies to hair is surprisingly challenging (yellow labs, blonde hair?). "I thought about your hair while I watched the movie," I said. (Lie. I was too busy bawling my eyes out to even consider her hair.) And then I asked her our most pressing Jennifer Aniston hair questions.
And let me tell you, Jennifer Aniston can talk about hair. She knows her stuff -- especially when it comes to Living Proof, a brand she co-owns. You'll find all that -- plus the star's favorite oatmeal recipe -- in my Jennifer Aniston interview.
