It's Time to Add CBD to Your Self-Care RoutineCBD is officially our favorite cure-all |
CBD has recently gained much popularity as a natural remedy. It's everywhere these days, for good reason: it's seriously good for you. We've recently been turned on to Dr. Sebi's Cell Food, an herbal wellness brand that's announced a new range of high-quality, full-spectrum hemp and CBD products, made using natural whole-plant-matter and hemp seed oil.
The brand was founded by herbalist and naturalist Dr. Sebi, who, even when legal access to marijuana was limited, believed in the plant's medicinal power, saying, "Marijuana cures 20-plus diseases."
CBD's manifold health benefits encompass everything from soothing sore muscles, to helping you get a better night's sleep. It's also been shown to reduce anxiety and depression, and has proven anti-inflammatory effects. There's even evidence that it can help to balance hormone levels, due to its intricate reactions with your body's own endocannabinoid system.
As a refresher, CBD — aka cannabidiol — is a component of cannabis sativa. And while, yes, it can help you chill out, it's not intended to get you high. That's because it's THC (aka tetrahydrocannabinol) that's the psychoactive part of marijuana. Most CBD products incorporate trace amounts of THC or none at all, and its THC that's responsible for the psychoactive effects of marijuana. This is in large part why hemp-derived CBD is completely legal in all 50 states.
It's also worth pointing out that not all CBD products are created equal: We're particular fans of full-spectrum CBD (as opposed to CBD isolate). The term "full-spectrum" in this case refers to the fact that this CBD contains all the cannabis plant's natural compounds. These natural compounds are thought to work together and boost each other's efficacy, which is something called the "entourage effect."
If you're interested in using CBD to help with anxiety, you might want to try Dr. Sebi's Cell Food's capsules or soft gels. Or if you're looking for a sleep aid, perhaps a CBD-infused sublingual tincture is more your speed. Keep reading to find the best CBD products for your routine...
