A week and a half before your wedding: Color your hair

When it comes to hair color, if you're getting highlights, "I would recommend [getting them] a week and a half before [your big day]," says Grmolyes. She says they tend to be a bit more difficult to get perfect. But, "if it's all over color, a week before" is plenty of time, she says. You want your hair to be freshly colored, yet leave enough time to fix any mistakes.

Be careful about SPF in makeup though--some kinds can give your face a whitish cast in photographs.
