Lol, as I read this I am wearing a smoky eye consisting mainly of blue eye shadow. For my foundation, I did a light contour for my cheekbones. I pencil in my eyebrows because the are already full with only a few minor imperfections. And to top it off, I'm wearing black eyeliner! (It's daytime) However, I am complemented often on my makeup. So I agree with some of these, but others, not at all.

yes we all have different opinions.. from "make-up should be whatever you prefer" to "maybe I do use to much bronzer" but this article is for woman who are trying to achieve the most natural (I barely try at all and still look flawless look) these are clearly tips to not looking like fake barbie dolls. Now if you like your your eyes to look like Rocky got mad at them, and your eyebrows to look like you get them waxed weekly and let your daughter play artist.. by all means do your thing... Me on the other hand would love to learn how to look like im wearing absolutley NOTHING... (:

Overall, great article. As for mistake #9 using pencil on your eyebrows is up for debate. I naturally have sparse eyebrows and as I get older they are getting more sparse. I rely on the pencil to create eye brow magic. Do I give them a stencil like look- absolutely not but what I do is use 2 different colors, a light one in the beginning part of my brow and one that is a shade darker for my arch and tail. Next I coat them lightly with a brow gel - which to set the look and that's it. Seasonally I use eye brow powder (summer time) I have oily skin.

This is one of the best stories I've read. Far too many women are still wearing foundation shades which don't suit their skin tones. It's very helpful to exfoliate before applying foundation. Trying to re-contour your face with dark powder is too obvious, as is too much luminizer. Over- or under-plucked brows can ruin the most perfect makeup application, as they are the focal point of your face. And using brow wax, or "Divaderme's Brow Extender" (fibers in a bottle) is much more attractive than drawn-on lines.

I tried contouring for the first time the other day and I really liked it. I enjoyed doing it and took my time. Had a few compliments on how I looked that day too. It can be done, however, at least watch a tutorial on it and don't rush it! Also I have worn black eyeliner during the day but I usually go with charcoal now and save the black for later when I want to look like I have more make up on.

Clearly this person giving advice is not a professional makeup artist. Nearly everything she/he said is contrary to a what a talented and skilled makeup artist would say. Adults are much more savvy then she/he is implying and should be able to use a brow pencil followed by the use of a good brow brush and/or brow gel. Also, blue comes in many shades and there is a blue eyeshadow shade for everyone. Actually, most professional makeup artist tout blue eyeshadow as being the most versatile nontraditional(brown or black) eyeshadow color. Maybe this person also believes people can't walk and talk at the same time as well.

I still use a brow pencil to fill in my light spots. Application is the key and blending it with the brow brush. Shadows don't last as long in my opinion. Pencil stays until you remove it.

I definitely plan on taking the advice on changing my foundation and finding the correct shade to match my skin. Another great fact I see useful is using a brush and powder to shade in my eyebrows instead of penciling them in and looking like a fake mask. I have also learned that by leaving off the eyeliner from my eyes make me have a more alert, awake, and fresh look. Saving the eye liner for going out or even late nights.

I love luminizer! I do not wear it everyday, but I have good skin, and will continue to use it. I do use black liquid MAC professional eyeliner (applied w/a brush) during the day, and people constantly tell me how well I do it. I have green eyes, and do use blue eyeshadow sometimes. Faux pas for some ... success for others. There are no blanket rules. Wear what you like, what makes you happy, & know your limitations. For example, red lipstick doesn't look good on everyone, and after a certain age, go easy w/the glitter.

Blue eye shadow is a no-go for me lol. As for mistake #6, I wear 4 shades on days when I reach for any of my quads. I use the lightest of the 2 medium shades on the inner two-thirds of my lid, then the next darkest on the outer third and in the crease. I use the lightest shade as a highlight, and the darkest to just deepen the outer V. I never considered this "fancy", it's just what I've always done and, in my opinion, it looks nice and adds depth and definition. Of course, I use natural colors, so that could be part of it

there are some great points in this article. The embarrassing part is that I am guilty of doing a few. I do wear black eyeliner almost everyday but i dont wanna look overdone so i am going to go with a brown eyeliner during the day. I believe that i have the right foundation because it is the same color as my face and neck but YIKES to those who i have seen that have a wrong a color and dont blend well. I have seen a few people whose neck is completely different then their face but its not my place to say anything so I turn around. I have chubby cheeks so i have attempted to use the blush in ways to sculpt my cheeks but i have stopped doing that and accepted my cheeks as they are.

There are so many articles and "tips and tricks" that contradict each other its difficult to know which to follow. I spend a lot of my time watching makeup tutorials on how to bring out your eyes or do a smokey eye or liner, etc. And these make up artists are using all types of colors - blues, purples, metallic and on and on. As a matter of fact, Estee Lauder has an eye shadow pallette/visual with a woman in purple eyeshadow that is absolutely gorgeous. I think that women should be able to use whatever look makes us comfortable. If trying something new, try it on a weekend or something first to get some feedback. To your writers - you should collaborate a little bit better to ensure that the information you are putting out there for us women is useful and correct. Don't give us one article of DONT'S and then post another article of DO'S (the exact opposite of the don'ts).

Hmm, well if it's her own opinion, I am totally fine. But if this is going to be a general opinion - NO. Yes, I agree on wearing the wrong foundation, and I think thats it. Going for blue eyeshadows? Partly true. Using pencil for eyebrows - well, many still do! Not all people know how to use powder. Eyeliner in the morning? This is so wrong. Black eyeliner is proven to make your eyes look bigger. Draw one side and compare to the other side of your eye thats without it. You can tell the difference. Contouring is a more advance move in makeup, but a good contour will not be that obvious in bright day light, just enough to bring in the effect - afterall, whats the purpose of contouring if you can't use it outside?

They just give us different points of view and different tips, so everybody has to decide for him/herself which one(s) to apply. You don't follow them blindly. OK. blue shadow can be worn beautifully. The last article I read on hear says you SHOULD contour, you CAN wear blue, line inside the lip line for smaller appearance and OUTSIDE for larger. Black liner is fine whenever! Is "it" a do or don't? You shouldn't post articles that completely contradict each other! Makeup is an art and the "rules" can be adjusted accordianally!

Some of these are so wrong. Blue eye shadow only works if the color is completely solid no glitter sparkles. Lips liner can work for you if you use a slow steady hand. Practicing on paper can really help you with that. Filling in your brows is not a crime especially for people with thin eyebrows. Eyeliner is fine in the day if your not working out or sweating.

I disagree with almost every aspect of this article. I'm sorry, but so many contradictions in one article doesn't give much leeway. First, women with blue eyes can wear blue eye shadow. I also disagree with the black eyeliner in the daytime? WHAT?? I can understand black heavy eyeliner should he saved for evening, but a fine line of black liner on the upper lid is not wrong! And there is nothing wrong with contouring. It works. I believe the message here is to use moderation for your day time look. I disagree with the makeup tip that women shouldn't wear blue eyeshadow. I have medium brown/auburn hair and brown eyes, and I sometimes wear blue eyeshadow, and I don't look like a clown, IMO. I also wear dark navy eyeliner on occasion. You just have to be careful and not overdo it, like wearing electric blue shiny eyeshadow, which looks really fake and just TOO much. A touch of blue on the eyes looks fine to me. If it were such a no-no, makeup companies would stop selling the stuff.

I disagree with over half of these "mistakes". Blue eyeshadow can be worn well in small amounts. You can wear pencil on your brows for definition (not drawing them in), Sculpting your face is easy if you know what you are doing, and the rest of the things are pretty much common sense. This article was not helpful at all. It's your makeup, do what you want.

Hmmm...interesting that blue is not a great color for dark eyes/haired woman as in the TB article "10 Things I Learned at Makeup Artist School", it states ... "For brown eyes: Brown is a neutral color, so any color will work well, says Prior. "But the most standout colors are blue and purple." I guess it depends on the shade, shimmer/no shimmer, etc...

I'm guilty to some of these mistakes but I do it very subtle makeup so it looks good on me! I use blue eyeshadow but use a dark blue color as a power eyeliner. I use pencil to fill in the brows because I overplucked in middle school and now have a bald spot. But I draw in short strokes so it resembles my own brow hair. And I wear black eyeliner in the daytime, but I draw it in a thin line so it can accentuate my short lashes. I don't really see these as mistakes but I can see how it can be overdone at times.

Pretty good article. I have a few issues with some things, though. For instance, I have very light gray-blue eyes, and a smokey eye at night with dark blue shadow looks amazing! A very subtle light silvery blue looks cute in the daytime as well. Some people can pull off black eyeliner during the day, for example, women who have an exotic look or dark complexion. I look silly wearing black liner in the daytime, though.

Some good advice and some prejudice in this article. For example, the right shade of blue applied properly looks great on my eyes. A friend's coloring looks perfectly natural with black eyeliner all the time. Luminizing can make you look ghoulish or glowing with health depending on what color is used, where it's applied, and when it's worn. Conversely, matte products can make your skin look like you're dried out and desperately in need of hydration. And the fact that not every woman can or should wear red lipstick is missing from this list.

A lot of this is good advice, but scrubbing your face to get dry flakes off by itself can be really harmful. Blue can be really pretty, you just have to use the right color and how to use it. Black eyeliner is ok for people with darker complexions or hair, just not in really think lines.

What's amusing is I read this article shortly after reading articles about colors that work on everybody and makeup artist tricks that told exactly how to do several of the "mistakes" on this list. Good to read, being a makeup artist I have a hard time seeing ladies wearing the wrong shade of foundation. I know it is hard to find the perfect shade, I think even in drugstores or other grocery stores that sell makeup, a person should be trained to pick the right shade.

What's wrong with blue eyeshadow? Navy is awesome on brown eyes... Black eyeliner is fine during the day. The WAY you wear is applies to day and night not the color itself. Heavy or darker eyeshadow paired with black eyeliner may be more of a nighttime look, as an example. But if you keep it light on the eyelids and have a nice, neat, simple touch of black liner in the day that's perfectly acceptable. Contouring. Really? People shouldn't try to contour their faces? Shaping your face is what makes you stand out (given that it is done properly). It's obvious that you shouldn't use dark brown bronzer if you're skin is fair...The point is knowing how to create a shadow on your face that will compliment its shape or add a little bit of definition if there isn't quite enough for you. Highlighting powder isn't made to look white on your face. You shouldn't even be able to tell it's there... Should I stop wearing mascara too? Maybe even refrain from bathing everyday? Articles like this should be written by people who know what they're talking about. Readers actually listen to tips so try to get your information straight.

I have to disagree with some tips: You can wear black eyeliner during the day. If that's what flatters your eyes do it! And you can contour your face with makeup....don't go too dark-just one shade darker than your regular foundation will do, I also really love highlighter on the bridge of your nose and on the cheek bones ;) You have to find what works best for you!

I disagree with two of these 'mistakes.' The first is that you should not ignore your brows. I have naturally fine blonde hair and as such my brows do not need any help, while they might not be perfect I prefer them natural to ending up with over plucked brows. The second 'mistake' that I disagree with is the use of glitter. I am in my early 20s and while I am not a club going individual I do think that it is possible to use glitter in a tasteful manner. The key is to not use too much, only use it on your eyes and if you make sure to not go crazy applying the shadow up to your brows. Also make sure to use a neutral color like colors similar to those found on Urban Decay's Naked color palettes.

I disagree with the blue eyeshadow and the black eyeliner points. I think that the correct blue, applied correctly, can look gorgeous. I love smokey eyes done with a dark blue shadow. It's an unexpected pop. As far as the eyeliner goes, it's all in where you're going and how you're applying it. If you're going to an office job, obviously heavy kohl black eyeliner is not right. But a soft, thin black cat eye can be fun in the right environment.

If you know how to apply blue shadow & black liner correctly, then it's fine. How can there be one article talking about how to contour and highlight your face followed by another article telling you basically never to do it? A little confusing. I'm so so sick of hearing people say how "wrong" blue eyeshadow is. I feel like discrediting everything else they're saying as a source who can't be trusted. Blue eyeshadow can be fun and beautiful, especially on brown-eyed girls like me. I love my blue eyeshadow/liner/mascara and I'll wear it with pride and always encourage others to do the same. After all, why should anyone else care if we wear blue or not? Makeup should be fun, not just what experts consider "appropriate".

ALWAYS prep the skin! Wash your face with a gentle soap in the morning (NO acids or peroxides!), pat dry with a clean towel. If skin is dry, use a gentle moisturizer. I personally like to let it soak in for about 30 min then rinse face water, to remove excess, but keep moisture, because my face gets very oily throughout the day. Then apply a primer to face and eyelids. If lips are dry put a chapstick on before lipstick. If they are peeling, mix some sugar and olive oill into a small paste, then you a toothbrush, or your fingers to rub it on you lips. DONT rub to hard and for too long or your lips may get irratated/and or bleed. Rinse off and aply a chapstick. If you dont have time, just apply a chapstick, AVOID LIPSTICK AND LIPGLOSS, they will not only highlighter the peeling spots, but will look clumpy and goopy. BIG no no.

I think some of these are subjective-they can be pulled off if they are done correctly. Blue eyeshow, penciled in brows and glitter (I don't wear glitter myself but I can appreciate it if its done correctly) and if an eyeshadow palette comes with 4 colors, its okay to wear them if you know where to apply the colors.- again- can be done, if done correctly.

I agree with most of these tips but not all of it. I apply black eyeliner during the day and it looks great cause I'm very neat and I'm doing it for quite a few years. So no, I don't agree with that rule. And also, I know a lot of people who appy black eyeliner during the day and if they do it correctly it looks great. Also about the glitter, if you are going out clubbing or celebrating New Years Eve, why not? If you buy some quality pigmented glitter, and know exactly where on your eye lid to apply it. So, another 'tip' I don't agree with.

Most of these tips are excellent. But I agree with the previous reviewer; not all of them apply to everyone. It IS possible for someone other than a makeup professional to do some facial contouring with makeup subtly and effectively. And a THIN line of black eyeliner during the day (dotted in between the roots of the lashes) can be a great way to make lashes look thicker in a subtle way. Otherwise, lots of great info here!

I only broke the first two rules, but it was the Sephora SA's fault...she helped me pick it out and tested it on my skin. I agree with the people before me, some of the rules i don't agree with. Blue works if done right. And the whole don't contouring thing seems off. Women are told to not over do it on the make up, but make up should enhance what they already have and then they're showed to highlight this and that, and add color to shape this and that. Then in the end it should only be done by professionals?

I agree on the part of not using a pencil for brows! Most of the time when I go to make up counters, SAs there ask me what I do with my brows because they look naturally thick in a nice way but it didn't seem I use a pencil to draw them at all. Dont ever be afraid to explain, i MEAN explain to the woman whose waxing and tweezing your eye brows. I went in for my 50th time and the woman took more hair off on my right so now im doing a 3 month "no wax/teeze" to grow them back. Im 18 and my mother explained to me they will be extremely hard to grow back once im older so i must be very careful. She tells me she envys me because i allowed my eyebrows to say thick and shaped to where they just looked cleaned up because she had to learn the hard way in getting her eye brows done. Im always looking up a way for her to get her eyebrows back :)

I Dont agree with the eyeliner or illuminating make up. I wear this foundation that has sparkly stuff in it, and people have complimented me on it (Maybe it has something to do with me being 16 too) . My eyes are already big and always look awake so I put the eyeliner on, But besides that a lots on point. But I do have to say, the writer doesn't sound very adventurous when it comes to makeup. You guys must not be Nars fans, considering Francois has come out with lots of blue eyeshadows recently and every time I see a picture of someone wearing them, they're certainly not 70s ish. Or, I guess, not Urban Decay, Too Faced, MUFE, etc., etc. fans. I think it entirely depends on contrast--if you're low contrast, blue eyeshadow can be too shocking compared to, say, pale skin/blond hair/light eyes. If you're high contrast, it's just like any other color.

I'm guity of 2 and 5. In my partial defense, my skin is so dry that avoiding any risk of flakes means going without makeup on those places. (There's only so much sleep time I'm willing to sacrifice.) For many of the rest, I agree with the other post about this being very conservative. I always thought makeup was about fun and fantasy. This article seems overly conservative. If I don't wear black eyeliner during the daytime what am I going to wear? Brown doesn't give the same sharp clean look that black does. I love colored liners but not every day. I've never noticed or heard of black liner making people look tired. I look like I'm about to keel over if I wear no liner at all or a light colored liner. If anything the black makes me look more awake. I love glitter. The only time I think it looks bad is if the person is oily or wearing too much or too dark of blush. If you look like you're bathing in it that's just silly but if you use it to highlight or just a touch on your face and neck it can look cute. Blue with bright red/pink lipstick and bright red/pink blush on ultra pale skin looks like you're trying to be a clown but that isn't the only way to wear it. I have light blues, electric blues, teals and a blurple, all of which I love and use and never look like a doll. Having three or less colors in your eyeshadow? I rarely do four or more, but I see it done in cute ways all the time, particularly with NYX Sugarpill. I don't enjoy doing my makeup just to accentuate the features I have, partly because my features suck but also because I like it to be fun. Doing your makeup should be an experiment everyday and giving yourself so many rules on what you can or can't use or do just seems stifling.

Wow....I have done almost all of these things and never looked crazy or been told that I am doing it wrong....I think black eyeliner is fine especially if you have dark lashes and hair...I also think blue eyeshadow is fine as long as you do it right

There's nothing wrong with eyeliner in the daytime, especially if your hair is dark. Just go easy on it - a light, thin line - and then smudge it with a Q-tip. It ends up being an indistinct grey darkening around the lashes (which defines your eyes in a subtle way), instead of a visible dark black or brown line. Well applied makeup should always look like you are not wearing any, especially in the daytime.

There is a lot of good information in this article especially about over tweezing eyebrows. So for all the ladies in your early 20's and up, don't over do it when tweezing or you'll end up with little or no brows later on!

Some of these aren't really mistakes, but rather what people are capable of doing. Wearing eyeliner in the daytime isn't too bad if you don't overdo it.

the first few are great,,, the rest? pshttt... please you can wear whatever you want as long as you have the personality to go with it I wear neon pink , orange, purple or red lipstick everyday... i can pull it off... but other people might look a bit silly doing that.. do what you are comfortable with.. glitter can be damaging to your skin... and make you look a bit drag .. but if its your thing go for it

I think this is crap! Most people can pull these off (blue eyshadow, black eyeliner, glitter, contouring, etc). I think people should be creative and expressive through makeup and be able to do what they want.

Everything they said is not only true, but also quite entertaining. The thick black liner on both the lashline and the waterline looks too dark for daytime and makes the eye appear smaller.

I don't think the person that wrote this knows a single thing about makeup!!!!! Black eyeliner is always good and goes with anything. Also alot of people look awesome in blue eyeshadow. I think whoever wrote this needs a cosmetic wake up

I agree with everything, but the black eyeliner, too! If it isn't a hard black, and is done thinly, as close to the lash-line as possible, then smudged a bit, it looks wonderful on everyone! A brown-black is good too. I DO think all the way, under the eye is too much. Save that for night. (:

This is a very good argument. I'll admit that I tend to ignore my eyebrows because I get scared that someone is going to over tweeze them because they grow so sparsly. And I don't over do it with the pencil. Blue eyeshadow can look good if you to it right (I'm not one of those people, so I don't try as much anymore.) Over all good read. Very informative.

I have so much difficulty finding the right foundation for my skin. I go up one shade and it looks like I have a tanned face, I go down one shade and I look like the walking dead. I swap brands and powders and yet I've never been able to find the right colour for me. This is the most frustrating thing for me. As for eye liner - I think you can wear it during the day but in moderation! If you wear it right it can really make your eyes pop!

i just read another article highlighting blues as the new it shade for this fall - and then this says no blue eyeshadow! go figure...i do agree w/ the foundation tip though. i've found myself switching to a lighter shade in the fall/winter after my summer tan fades!

Ok, I was gifted with no butt and a big belly. But I was also given big blue eyes and long eyelashes. I wear my blue eye shadow and my black eyeliner during the day. But it has taken me many years to get it just right. The blues are more of slate/gray blue. The eye liner is a very fine line for the day, thicker at night. It can be done, but again it has to be done right!

you can wear black eyeliner during the day, as long as its not too intense and you either smudge it out a bit or just have some liquid eyeliner on. As for dry skin and make up..ALWAYS exfoliate or use a moisturizing cream before applying foundation, or else the make up will look bad! And..the highlighter part..always use on some areas of the face and sparingly..because you'll end up looking like a grease ball.

I personally don't think wearing black eyeliner during the day is bad. I understand the issue of blue eyeshadow. I don't really see a lot of women wearing it. I used to wear it, but very lightly blended and I still didn't really like it that much. Good info though!

Blue eyeshadow makes my hazel eyes pop and they appear more green-ish which I really like...nothing wrong with that but when it's too shiny/sparkly it can make you look like a prostitute plus like the black liner, it is too much for daytime use. I had a problem applying makeup over my peeling skin...it looked awful. Thank God I found these little exfoliating cloths from Target that are similar to loofah but not as harsh on your skin... they take away all the dead skin and blackheads and make my skin super soft...don't need to worry about looking ridiculous anymore!

I have darker colored skin and actually really enjoy using blue shadow. I always blend it with a neutral or even a brighter color for a really bold look. Depending on the shade, it actually suits me pretty well. As does purple. I do have to agree that some people just have no business using the color though.

I don't entirely agree with two of these. First is the blue eyeshadow. Maybelline has this quad of eyeshadows. On it, it tells you where to put the eyeshadow. I have one that comes with shades of purple and blue that look amazing! (: I think blue is not an everyday color, but for special occasions, it is fine.

This is funny, blue eyeshadow is the only color that suits me, and big time, too. If I apply anything in more natural brownish colors, people start asking me, "Are you all right? You look sick." Natural colors just kill me on the spot, while blues and pinks make me look healthy and, strange as it sounds, natural.

Remember in the 90's when it was cool to wear brown lipliner with a brick red lipstick! My eyebrows are growing in and I haven't touched them since April. I always measured them by the snout part of my nose, come to find out it's supposed to be the bridge. So now I'm trying to grow them out and get them fuller. I noticed though that I have more white eyebrows than brown anymore! As far as the black eyeliner, I wear it all the time! I also wear blue eyeshadow. A little does make my dark hair/eyes look good.

Great article with what we should avoid and suggested solutions. The "We confess" area was also fun to read. At my age, 54, I have slowly moved to less is more. My routine each day, morning and night includes a clean face with a good hydration product along with drinking plenty of water. Many friends and family members comment on how smooth my face skin is to the touch. I'm happy to go with or without makeup. Dawn

I have to agree with other comments. Some of these advice isn't exactly correct. I'm one of those (lucky?) people who have fair skin, blue eyes and dark hair - blue eyeshadows really SUIT me and compliment skin and eyes. Same with black eye liner, it usually looks vulgar on blondes but appropriate on brunettes and not only at night. Everything is good if you know measure!

Well.... I wasn't surprised at some of the first of these, but I'm guilty of going too pale on my foundation, not too dark. Cosmeticians keep putting me in mediums, which I think make me look awful and jaundiced..as for flakes, I can't ever remember having them on my face. I'm "blessed" with oily skin (I say blessed because us shine-time girls tend to wrinkle less - look at my Mom!). Anyone can wear any color eyeshadow, as long as you keep it in a little (1/2") sideways "V" at the outside of your eyelid I agree with whoever said that navy and rich blues work where pastel won't. Black eyeliner? I've seen it done bad (really bad!!!!) and I've seen it done well. I generally line almost all across my upper lid, but only about a third of the way in from the outer corner on my bottom lid, and I generally use violet, not black. Black is too harsh on me, even at night. She is right about the sculpting business, there are better ways to "plump" your lips, and I haven't seen any daytime illuminations locally that were due to makeup. Here in S. Texas, it's 104 and it has been and will be that hot for two months both ways. We glow because we sweat, and there's no way to stop it. (Thank you, Bare Minerals Mineral Veil, but I have to keep putting it on!) A little glitter on a night out is great, but don't overdo. And my eyebrows are a mess, I have pock marks in the middle of them (I had chicken pox really really bad when I was 16) so a pencil, lightly done with short, choppy strokes in the direction of the natural hair growth actually makes me look even for a change. I suppose everything can be overdone, but I'm shocked at how many of these "blunders" I've seen done, and done well...

I have to disagree with some of these "mistakes". I love black liquid liner, and for daytime it looks very clean with a skin tone matching eyeshadow. I also like blue eyeshadow. I don't put it from eyebrow to lids, but rather in the crease and blend it gradually upward into (once again) a skin tone matching shadow.

Whol is this make up artist Patel? Make up is meant to be fun,not to be taken too seriously and ther are no rules. We all agree looking like a clown when you aren't one is a bit of a stretch but some of these no- no's are ridiculous. You can so totally wear blue without looking like you've got a black eye,black eyed liner during the day means I actually look awake and pencil or eyeshadow on eyebrows depend on whatever the user prefers. Make up is very indiviadualistic and to put these no-no's on make up is just simply old fashioned and ridiculous!

A little black eyeliner under the lashes, followed by dark brown, is the best for me and seems to hold up the longest. Also, I HAVE to use an eyebrow pencil since I have no eyebrows anymore (alopecia). If I sharpen it well and go with tiny thin strokes, it looks pretty good.

Blue shadow can definetly be done wrong, light shades make my eyes look bruised or highlight my dark circles. Darker blues like indigo or navy I think are fine.
