Thank you--I'm all about homeopathic remedies (moreover, you'll note that a lot of the ingredients in the DIY recipes are present in products you purchase). Fortunately, have not had a monstrous blemish in awhile, but I'm now prepare if it happens again .. .
These are all great ideas, but I think some of them are a bit lengthy for a skin emergency. There are faster ways to get things to begin the healing process.
These all do sound great if you have these things in the house. I often feel like a moisturizer does not have enough moisture in it for me, so I wet my fingers then apply a moisturizer to my face. It feels cool and light and my skin is very soft. I use an Olay Night Cream, but I use it during the day, too.
I just made a mixture of tea tree oil and witch hazel. It's supposed to be antibacterial, gentle and natural so I'm super excited to see if it can finally get rid of my cystic, stubborn acne Ugggh I've tried everything. My skin felt so soft and smooth and clean, not tight and dry like when I usually usually use toner. Hope it works out!
these recipes all sound really cool, but i doubt people have all these ingredients laying around in their house!! i'd like to try the yogurt zip zapper though, seems the most useful and easy to make :)
this is great if you have all this stuff around the house.... a great lil once a week exfoilation is using quaker old style oats mixed with water ... then take honey leave on for ten minutes.. and a light coat of olive oil. also taking flax oil in the morning and evening 1 teaspoon helps reduce sebum production in the face.... oil fights oil... water and oil doesnt mix therefore when washing... washing with an oil attracts its... basic chemistry.. and soap changes the ph of your skin. so be gentle to it. just a few pointers ive come across and they actually work.
interesting. and some tips are useful, but then there are so many ingredients that most people don't keep at home. in fact some aren't that easy to find :D
great tips, but a few of these recipes aren't very practical for me since I don't keep chamomile or lavender flowers, beeswax of coconut oil around the house :(
I didn't know I was allergic to rose water and used it when it was recommended to me as a toner. I ended up with evenly spaced red dots half the size of a dime. I am laughing now just thinking about how I would look if I tried the rose and aloe masque since aloe makes me break out with white spots!
Does garlic really work for pimples? I must try this out the next time I get one! And you can just rub the plain coconut oil onto chapped lips it works fabulously.
