• People generally prefer less makeup on women, according to a new study published in the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology. The study found that people of both sexes prefer it when women go for the "natural" look. Of course, for most of us, getting a "natural" look requires quite a bit of makeup, so go figure. • Revlon released its new Spider Man-inspired Electric Chrome collection - a metallic set that includes six new shades of nail enamel featuring "glowing glass pearls to give an illuminated appearance." • The Army is tightening its rules on tattoos, and so soldiers are rushing out to get new tats before new regulations go into effect. They limit each tattoo to being no bigger than an open hand and say that tats should be restricted to the arm and leg area. But if soldiers have pre-existing tats they're generally allowed.
