You may have never heard of it 'til now but, trust us, "Vanquish," a revolutionary new fat-burning treatment, is soon to be all everyone's talking about.

The process, which will launch in several hand-picked dermatologist's offices later this month, is being lauded by professionals everywhere -- even the longtime miracle weight loss skeptics.

"I've seen a lot of fat-removal techniques," David McDaniel, a leading researcher who has been conducting an independent study on Vanquish told Harper's Bazaar. "Some procedures are painful or take too long; some are effective only on small areas of body fat that can be sucked up through a small vacuum. Vanquish addresses all those problems. It can treat a large surface area uniformly. It's fast, efficient, and comfortable. I've been doing this for 30 years, and most advances have been little baby steps. This is a big technological breakthrough."

Talk about a heady endorsement.

Here's how it works: Vanquish employs radio frequency waves to "Target fat cells, heating them up enough to cause cell death without damaging skin or muscle." As Robert Weiss, a Johns Hopkins Hospital-based doctor explained to Bazaar, "This new technique is a real game changer -- it's the safest, easiest way yet to remove fat. As the panels heat up, the radio frequency waves they transmit differentiate between fat cells (which are denser and hold less water) and skin and muscle cells. The heat causes cell death in the fat cells; some die instantly, some in a matter of weeks. The dead cells are filtered through the lymphatic system, metabolized in the liver, and excreted in the urine. "I've seen patients lose several inches after four treatments without changing their diets."

There's more good news; the process involves zero downtime, is non-invasive and completely painless. The one downfall is the price tag -- between $450 and $800 per session, with four sessions typically recommended. And, in case you're concerned that the concept is too far out there, Vanquish has already been approved by the FDA as a muscle-healing device and will be further evaluated for its body contouring potential.

Could this finally be the magic bullet everyone who's ever struggled with weight has been hoping for? Would you consider undergoing the procedure if it meant painless, fast, effortless and permanent weight loss?
