Color Blocking
To accent an otherwise neutral outfit, add a pop of color to your manicure. Start by sectioning off blocks of your nails with tape to create clean, separate spots for your color blocks. Then paint each section individually with your favorite complementary colors. For this nail look, a negative space mani (where part of the nail is left bare) keeps the bright colors in check.

Manicures don't get any more classic than the French tip, and this nail trend is back in 2017. Elevate your classic look with a bright or neon color choice for the tip. If you're a real risk-taker, use multiple colors on the tip of the nail to incorporate color blocking.

Stunning Neutrals
This nail trend, while less head-turning, still leaves an impact. Soft skin-tone colors, like pink, gray and beige, are perfect for a refined look. If this is a little too plain for you, try painting a gradient of neutrals or stripes of two different neutral shades to add depth.

Embellished Cuticles
For this nail trend, wear painted or unpainted nails as a base and then simply add a line of bright color around the cuticle and base of the nail. This highlights and outlines the nail and can really pop if done in a contrasting shade. For more fun, use a glitter or metallic outline shade. This is a transient look that works for a night out -- don't plan on it staying in place for more than 24 hours.

Fur
One of the more outlandish nail trends seen this year is fur. It's not for the faint of heart. By attaching small pieces of fur or even velvet, you can incorporate texture into your nails.
