• As anyone who's spent an hour or two scrolling through pictures on Instagram can tell you, looking at other people's perfectly crafted plates of food can be a little overwhelming. And now, a new study out of Brigham Young University and the University of Minnesota backs that up. Published in The Journal of Consumer Psychology, the study found that looking at too many pictures of food can actually make it less enjoyable to eat. Explains study co-author Ryan Elder, "In a way, you're becoming tired of that taste without even eating the food. It's sensory boredom -- you've kind of moved on. You don't want that taste experience anymore." Jeff Larson, one of the study's authors, admitted that he even grew a bit nauseated by cake after looking at images of the sweet dessert so much. "Even I felt a little sick to my stomach during the study after looking at all the sweet pictures we had," he said. So basically we're going on an Instagram diet. [Medical News Today]

• Mazel tov! Very attractive lady Halle Berry, and very attractive man Olivier Martinez welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, Saturday night. [NYDN]

• Model Cara Delevingne went to Brazil, but she sent us back some postcards -- pics of herself hanging with Linda Evangelista and Alice Dellal, and hanging out in Carnival detritus. Must be nice! [Styleite]

• We're not quite sure what one had to do with the other, but when African American model Beverly Johnson was getting started in the biz, she was asked to pass a typing test to get a modeling gig at Glamour magazine. What typing 60 words a minute has to with smize-ing, we're not sure, but we'll let Beverly explain. "A friend who was convinced I should be a model got me an appointment at Glamour. They told me to take a typing test, but I acted like I couldn't even type. I had 20 words on the page. They said, why don't you go get something to eat, and when I got back, they offered me a 10-day modeling job. Can you imagine?" No, it makes no sense to us, either. [NY Mag]

• Kate Moss has signed on for another round of collaborations with Brit retailer Topshop. She'll work with the brand's creative director Kate Phelan and her stylist buddy Katy England on a spring/summer 2014 collection, due to hit stores in April 2014. We'll be there. [Telegraph]

• We like things that are pretty and that our good for us, too. So naturally, we're fans of the just-launched line Eve Snow, a British nail polish brand that's packed with ginkgo biloba, argan oil, and vitamin E. Plus, the beauty junkie in us wants all 16 shades, okay? [WWD]
