IMG Becomes A One-Size-Fits-All Modeling Agency

Jay Z's Barneys controversy, yet another J. Law cover (not that we're complaining), and more of today's top stories

• Could the term "plus-size model" become a thing of the past? The world's top modeling agency seems to think so. IMG will no longer separate new signees not of the 6 foot, size zero type into specialized branches. Instead, they'll place them on a one-size-fits-all board alongside the likes of Gisele Bundchen and Karlie Kloss, as they begin an initiative to sign models of all shapes, sizes, ages, races, and heights. How do you like them apples? [Cosmopolitan]

• Jay Z hasn't had an easy go of maintaining his holiday collaboration with Barneys New York and his integrity following consumer claims of racial profiling. The latest installment in the saga? The artist formerly known as Shawn Carter announced that notable changes would be made in the partnership, including, but not limited to, his own advancement to a "leadership role" and seat on "a council specifically convened to deal with the issue of racial profiling." Well played? Also, they canceled his launch party. [NY Times]

• Jennifer Lawrence can't stop rackin' up those magazine covers. Her latest is French fashion glossy Madame Figaro, whose cover has her looking au natural and stupidly gorgeous (per the usual). Not that that's new for her. [BuzzFeed]

• These one-of-a-kind, custom-fitted, spike-covered, bright red Christian Louboutin boots will run you a totally reasonable $30,000. Would you dish out that much cash for 'em if you had that much to spare? Consider this: they'll hit the block for an auction benefiting the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria, which is a good cause if ever a good cause existed, wouldn't you say? [NY Mag]

• A bit of validation for fashion buffs who suffered a serious case of deja vu during this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show: It's entirely possible that two past-season runway looks from Antonio Berardi made their way down the VS catwalk last week. VS Fashion Show creative director Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou also worked behind the scenes at Berardi, so maybe the wink at high fashion wasn't an accident. [Fashionista]
