It takes a brave soul to let someone come near their eye with a pointy stick and an even braver one to let that someone put the pointed stick into their eye. But that's precisely what three women did -- all in the name of beauty. Or something like that.

Borrowing a page from our sister site, BeautyRiot.com's "I Let My Boyfriend Dress Me" beauty dare, this video, from the folks at BuzzFeed, lets us watch as men attempt to decipher various beauty products and figure out how (and where) they're supposed to be used.

To say these poor, earnest men are clueless when it comes to makeup application would be generous. But, the results are pretty funny. Which is clearly the point.

"I honestly thought he was going to do better," one of the women says after viewing her guy's (not so) handiwork, "He was a theater major."

And, while some of the end products aren't that bad, the take away from this exercise can be best summed up by one guy's "a-ha" moment. "I now know why it takes so long."
