Professional Makeup Application Tips For A Flawless Look

Try these professional makeup application tips for a naturally gorgeous look

Professional makeup application tips are basic tricks of the trade that can help you apply your makeup quickly for a flawless look. For one, many professional makeup artists apply makeup using their fingers (despite popular belief that a makeup sponge is essential) because the heat from their hands allows them to blend makeup more evenly. Prior to applying makeup you will want to wash your hands with soap and warm water in order to disinfect them and prevent bacteria from spreading, then after applying makeup, wash hands immediately after.

Another one of the best professional makeup application tips from the pros is to pour a little bit of the eye makeup (shadow or liner for example) onto a palette, then dip their brushes in the palette as opposed to wetting the makeup brush and dipping into the container. Doing so prevents contamination of makeup products, as brushes and water can contain bacteria and by redipping the brush into bacteria infested water, you are actually facilitating the spread of more bacteria. When it comes to applying mineral makeup application, never blow on your brushes in order to remove excess product, as doing so can transmit bacteria onto the makeup brush and the face. Instead, you should use the tapping method or the swipe method, which does a better job at removing excess product. I like the one about removing some of your eyeshadow, then use a wet brush, because when you put the wet brush in the eyeshadow container it seems like you change the texture as well.
