The Pros and Cons of Permanent Eye Makeup

Learn about the pros and cons associated with permanent eye makeup

Many women are now getting permanent eye makeup done, but is it really worth it? There are numerous reasons as to why people are having this procedure done, some of the main ones being to save time and money. If you get permanent eye liner or eyebrow penciling done then you will be able to skip applying certain cosmetics on a daily basis, which brings us to the second reason that people will opt to have this done: saving money. By getting eye liner done that is forever, you will never have to purchase certain types of cosmetics ever again. Another bonus is that you will never have to worry about your eye makeup getting wet, smudged at the gym or streaking during the rain because it cannot be removed. Now for the cons associated with getting permanent eye makeup done. There is a risk of the artists making a mistake, such as applying the eye liner outside of the line and potentially damaging the facial skin around your eyes, leaving a scar and causing skin damage. And if you are one that is always changing your mind about what colors to wear on your eyes, you may want to think twice before getting this procedure done. Due to the permanency of the makeup, you will not be able to change the colors that you have, so either be sure you are okay with having them forever or skip getting them done. In addition, permanent makeup can fade over time, which means that you will either have to get the procedure done again or dead with faded and dull looking makeup for the rest of your life. I have also heard you can't get any laser treatments for anti-aging in the area where permanent makeup was done because it might move the color particles around.

I really don't understand why people tattoo their eyebrows. It looks so unnatural.
